The previous two GOP presidents both wrecked the US economy.

The odds of the economy staying strong for the next 45 months are practically zero.

Trump will lose by a wide margin.

Doubtful, seeing as it's almost impossible to trot out a candidate as bad as Hillary again.

If they put someone like Julian Castro up against Trump, it's game over unless Trump's policies are so overwhelmingly effective even the media can't spin them as bad.

Again, four years is a long time. Things change very quickly.

No one saw Donald Trump running in 2012. No one saw Bernie having an impact in 2012, either. Circumstances over the next 3+ years will determine much more than how democrats feel today.

I would have voted for Jim Webb in this last election, but they didn't give him a chance.

I would vote for Jim Webb also. But he has no chance in the current state of the Dem party. That party has been hijacked by leftists, anarchists, sjw's, socialists, etc. Jim Webb's Democrat Party no longer exists. Webb and Manchin should switch to the Republican Party.

The media was joking about Webb accidently showing up to the wrong debate after his one primary debate.

Exactly. From what I'm seeing I think the left will be more cogent and organized in 2018 and 2020 than ever before.

That is such a sadly uninformed statement.

This is true, but based on how things have been for the dems these last few months they may not change. If anything their ideology will get more extreme than it is now.

After the long Obama nap, and the lessening of the regulatory brakes, the economy should zoom for the next 45+ months. DOW 20k anyone?
There will eventually be a normal connection eventually.

The DNC sure as hell didn't did they? Yet once they did - well you know the rest of the story.

I disagree. I think Trump will do wonders to unite the left, at least from what I can tell from my leftist friends. We will see though.

The surest sign of an impending economic downturn is when the uninformed masses start to show irrational exuberance.

Expect a short-term climb in the DJIA, followed by a precipitous free fall.

Thatd be in their best interest but what indication do you have of that today? Many of them are full on socialist and show me zero interest in getting toward the center.

Politics and policies don't matter. Am I the only one that sees National elections are all about charisma and looks? No one was more left wing than Hussein Obama, but he is charismatic as hell and had no trouble winning. Look at every election since Nixon. Charisma wins. Even the Bush's had more charisma than Dukakis, Gore, and Kerry. Trump is ugly, but waaay more charismatic than HRC, so he wins. Charisma is why Obama voters switched to Trump. If Cory Booker gets through the primaries, he'll win. Americans are stupid, they vote for president like the visited for prom king in high school. Republicans better hope Hillary 2.0 gets the nod.

Yep. The liberals still haven't figured out that all that red between the two coasts will not change. CA an NY could be solid blue...same results.

Trump almost lost to HRC, probably one of the most scandal-plagued and disliked people in the party. And even with all her baggage, she still got 3 million more votes that him.

As long as they pick a marginally better candidate next time, Dems will take back the White House.

Exactly. Unless something drastic happens that benefits Trump, I don't see him winning again against a (not-as-corrupt) Democratic candidate. You also got to remember that there were many people who didn't vote or voted independent because they hated both candidates.

Depends who the democrats run and if they still run the you're a xenophobe, racist, sexist, homophobe if you don't agree with my policies campaign.
