There is no way to have a logical conversation about slavery. It's too emotional of a subject.

I had a discussion where a liberal said that it was irresponsible of the founders to allow slavery. I said that, without slavery, the US would not exist. The south and the Virginia dynasty wouldn't have been a part of the US and the separate confederacies would have never been able to maintain their independence. She told me that "she was disgusted by my comments and I should be ashamed"
