I understand why cuban americans are cheering castros death. I understand he used terrible means to accomplish his ends.
What is the other side to the story. What could possibly be said that is positive about the guys role in history?

Really? You're going to come onto an SEC country rant and expect someone to come up with something positive to say about a communist dictator who rose to power through a violent overthrow? How about this:
Not a GD thing...period.

A once world class city and beautiful country lies in ruins with 99% of its population living in total poverty due to the Utopian ideals of socialism being fully implemented by a brutal murderous regime.
Leftist in this country and around the globe seem incapable of processing results over ideology.
Socialism for all its promise of equality has utterly failed every time it's tried and it has left nothing but a trail of misery and death for those lucky enough to be subjected to it.
So, you tell me, what's the other side of the coin?

Ask the Cuban expatriates on Calle Ocho in Miami what the other side of this monster was. You will hear a first hand account.... from survivors.

I would have never met my girlfriend if her family didn't flee after the revolution.

"what about all the good things Hitler did?"
None of Castro's goods qualities (assuming he had any) deserve to be mentioned due to the evil he gave the world, even his beard.

Poors revolt and overthrow puppets of US capitalists and dump the mafia too.
Subtext
Like the french did to haiti after the revolt of the slaves, usa led embargo consigns the poors to more poor.

The "Cuba was kept poor because of the US embargo" is simply horseshite. The US did billions of dollars of trade with Cuba every year. The restriction was that there was no credit, things had to be cash. That said, Cuba was trading with all the other countries...sooo.
