This is actually an interesting legal question, in light of recent developments concerning transgendered persons. If a person were to sue to be recognized as a different race, in a California Court, it would make for great news fodder. For example, a white kid wants in a black orginazation, he sues using the same reasoning applied by the Court in the Transgender cases, arguing he feels black instead of white

Odd thing about this hypothetical, i think the groups pushing the whole LGBQTX (or whatever) angle would be completely against this

Why is it a shitty point? If we have to make all kinds of concessions because someone feels like they are a woman instead of a man, then why shouldn't we recognize a person as the race they feel they are?

If i made concessions for race I would.

The only concession i say we should make to a tranny is not call her guy, and let her use the ladies room because there are smaller rooms inside that offer privacy.

Yep I think the pigmentation of my skin is darker than what other people think, therefore I should get a minority scholarship and have my housing subsidized.

Race is something you are born with.

Sex is something you are born with.

Gender is something you are not.

I agree that the lefts attempt to redefine traditional words will be an awesome failure to society as a whole. It is already clear from some of the post in this thread that they have accomplished much of their goal.

Yep they want to redefine/undefine the meaning of very important things. Race, gender, marriage, when life begins (so they can then decide when it's ok to kill it.) And on and on. It's a disastrous path of cultural decay. No truth. Everyone determines what is true for himself or herself. Everything loses all meaning. Which by the way fits perfectly with their worldview that we're all just the product of time + matter + chance. So there's really no meaning or purpose for anything. So we just redefine and undefine whatever we want.

WAKE UP!!!!

Don't hold your breath, next up is an argument killer he learned in second grade, it goes like this: if you don't know, i'm not telling you.

Either that or the more learned cricket chirps.

Yes, mom has some 'splainin to do.

"wrong race", what the hell is that any way?

You're really talking about culture, which can be adopted by anyone, not race.

This is awesome.

From now on ... I am always going to check "yes" for "MWBE" during construction bids.

If anyone challenges it, I will sue them for violating my civil rights.

Sweet.

If there were some sort of medical procedure that could be done to change a person's race I have no doubt that some in the medical community would establish evidence that being trans-race was a real affliction and insurance companies and even the taxpayer would be forced to pay for race change operations if the person were in prison and race-confused.

I am about as open minded as an individual from my background and upbringing can be but the whole transgender issue is just pure bull shite. Yes, science can change a persons sexual organs....and thus science had to establish a legitimate reason to do so...and so now we have arrived at the point where a convicted murdered is suing (and winning) for taxpayers to correct their "confusion" because it is cruel and unusual punishment to keep that person imprisoned in both jail and the body there were born into.

I have very little doubt that having a man's body but being a woman in your heart and mind is difficult. I wouldn't want to be in that position for all the money in the world....I also would not want to live with the sensation that everyone was out to get me or that I have monsters inside me or hearing voices in my head...some folks are just plain fricking insane, and if you are woman trapped in a man's body then you are crazier than a loon. If you have the means to get the treatment to correct your mental condition more power to you....but if you don't have the means to correct the idea that your really a unicorn and not a man then your fricked my friend....you ain't gonna make it...and don't ask the taxpayers to foot the bill for your unicorn conversion surgery....
