And mean ole USA is only up to doing bad stuff to good people.

So vilifying known enemies is the work of sheeple.
But vilifying some unknown entity, cool!
Worshipping and basing your very existence on some unknown entity, even cooler!

What conspiracy?

This does hurt the Russian people b/c it raises the price of simple foods bc they cut off their main import.

It may for a few months.

They now have to look at South America and Africa.

Not now.. already have.

The price of shipping goods from South America and Africa is higher than from the EU. Thus raising the price of the actual good the people need.

Could be offset by a well negotiated trade agreement. They have been shipping for a year. All that needed to be done was add more shipments.

"We are having a meeting today with Turkey, which expressed willingness to increase supplies of vegetables and fruit," a spokeswoman Yulya Trofimova said.

"Latin America - Brazil, Peru - are ready to supply substantial volumes of meat. Brazil and Chile want to supply more milk and dairy products, Ecuador wants to supply shellfish and Peru and Chile - fish," she added.

quote:

Turkey exports around 1.2 million tonnes of fruit and vegetables annually worth more than $1bn ... There is a chance these exports to Russia could double," said Mustafa Satici, head of the West Mediterranean Exporters' Association.

quote:

"Russia used to buy its processed white meat from the European Union. Over the past three to four days, Turkish firms have received many requests and price proposals from Russia," said Sait Koca, general manager of poultry company Beypilic.

Why are a few leftists acting like he just suddenly did this? Does this have to do with Romney being right?

quote:

Much further afield, Brazil's secretary of farm policy said on Thursday around 90 new meat plants in Brazil had been approved to export beef, chicken and pork to Russia and the huge farm producing nation was already working to increase exports of corn and soybeans sales to Russian buyers.

quote:

VPSS said some products from newly-approved Brazilian importers would start arriving in Russia in September, adding that it would consider extending the list of suppliers further.

quote:

Chilean salmon producers said they were "prepared to satisfy the increase in demand in this (Russian) market". Chile has been also exporting fruit to Russia.

quote:

"In general, there is panic only over fish. We were not prepared for it," said a Moscow-based seller of imported food.

Putin's no Stalin. He sits atop a very rickety ladder. There's no certainty he'll even be there by this time next year, if the sanctions start biting into the oligarchs severely enough.

You mean Russians buying stocks in their own useless stock market with the Ruble not worth shite.

And will have to even more which increase logistical cost.

Doesn't matter what you think of the Ruble. The fact is they went up. Meaning investment into their own supply to meet their demands.

That doesn't drive up cost! The cost was already there. It's just more of the same.

All you got to do is read the links. It was planned. Turkey already got orders and will have met the demand asked of them by Sept. Same for Latin America.

Brazil just announced 90 new establishments for exports.

It helps if you read...

How many of these countries that are now jumping at the chance to export to Russia receive our tax dollars in the form of foreign aid from the US? Really loyal group of friends there I would say. But if we are stupid enough to send it to them I don't guess you can blame them for taking it.

Tell that to the Ukranian people. Putin's ultimate goal is to re-establish the old Soviet empire. He is KGB to the core and he is taking advantage of a weak American president.

Nah.. Never stated they were coming. Did say they want a war. They lined up the next step to protect themselves.. Cut our exports off to them.

We all know we are not going to get in the way of them taking the Ukraine.

Ya'll can offer Putin blow jobs all day long, the fact of the matter is their military is garbage and he has his country pretty close to economic collapse.
I guess it's the whole "anti Obama" thing that has so many so excited about what the dumbass says and does. I still don't get it.

I don't think anybody here likes putin. I happen to think he's a loose canon and thus dangerous.

Ha.. I guess all of these nations listed in this thread are in with Putin to lie about import/exports.

Putin will push as far as he can as long as he knows that no one will stop him. He is giving the US the finger and he is certainly not afraid of Western Europe. Poland is probably the only one over there that would stand up against him. Putin is a thug dictator.
