I have a feeling I am not getting those tickets. But apparently there will be an epic post on Tiger Rant or the OT after the fight.

Well,I'm a NOLA LSU girl. When I say a beer, I mean a keg. Or a bottle of bourbon.

Naw. I probably won't be in very good shape by the time the family and I get back to the hotel. I'm the drunksheep of the clan.

I have been contemplating getting tickets myself. Was going to invite my associate pastor (he is from Wisconsin) and pay his way. Might be worth it now that I know I can see a sailor liquored up.

I don't understand how people think Hillary would prefer running against a moderate former Mass. governor, and a two time presidential candidate (once getting the R nomination) vs. a 2 year Senator from Kentucky who is an occasional guest on the Alex Jones show.

Beats me. But, really, the conservative group on this site pines for their perfect candidate (i.e., so far right they're careening off a cliff into oblivion), so Romney doesn't fit the bill. I could certainly live with Romney (begrudgingly . . . I just think he's sort of plastic/elastic/synthetic) because I think he'd do little harm.

You know, the funny thing is that if Rand Paul, Bobby Jindal ( ) or any of the "true conservative Republicans" are elected, they will disappoint the everloving crap out of their supporters on this board. There will never be an administration that doesn't deal with reality once it's in office. And political reality doesn't reflect the vocal conservatives on this board.

Yeah, so let's just give up and roll over like pussies because that's what all the great figures of history do.

This country is probably going to end up being a shithole because of liberals.

And republicans being moderate to liberal on issues we cannot afford to be moderate/liberal on like the crushing debt, repealing and replacing ObamaCare which cannot happen, sustained war in the Mideast, corporate welfare, being ok with overreaching gov't invading our privacy, crony capitalism, and being just as fiscally liberal on as the democrats. Republicans have to be actual small gov't conservatives on these issues, not phony, weak, centrist minded moderates with reaching arms out to progressives.

Agreed

The problem is that the repubs are at an inherent disadvantage simply based on the voting base. Millions of republican voters require certain social values of their candidates. You could be the best damned conservative candidate in history, but if you dont oppose abortion you are virtually unelectable.

The democrats, for the most part, dont have that problem. They could get a squirrel 40% of the vote just by blaming Bush.

Focus on poverty and health care issues and the number of abortions will decrease significantly. But the republican voting block is comprised of hard core Christian fundamentalists who are more concerned with starting wars in the middle east to bring about the second coming of Jesus than they are with the root causes of abortion.

Then again, Steve Young wore those undies all the way to the Hall of Fame so maybe Romney is onto something.
