We need more data to establish that. Look global warming is real, and I think human activity has played a role in other than historical cyclical climate change. We can call it AGW.

But if you want to bring something like this to a board whose participants are personally and heavily invested in the energy sector, you have to come strong. These anecdotes don't meet the muster. If there's a cold spell somewhere traditionally warm it'll be held up in similarly lazy fashion to disprove AGW.

Now what does one late winter day, with strong chinook winds blowing off the front range of the Rockies in a small city in South Dakota, experiencing 70° temps, have to do with anything?

OP = fake news.

We had a Super El Niño in 2016. Yea not just an El Niño but a super one. The effects will be felt for maybe years. That certainly contributed to 2016 being the hottest year on record.

There is no question the earth is warming. But it is not outside the natural variation.

We should do what we can to minimize our impact on the environment. Draconian measures and disruption of economies at this point make little sense considering we don't know to what extent it will slow down the warming.

It always seemed odd to me that an otherwise standard Trumpkin would be completely on board with AGW. Given the consistently shitty threads he starts about it I'm pretty convinced he's a skeptic acting as a sarcastic agitator.

We had 3-5 episodes of snow + an ice storm in Louisiana just three years ago over the course of 3.5 weeks.

But remember it snowed in Hawaii this year.

/sarcasm

But seriously, stop it. I believe in global warming, and it bothers me when people report weather instead of climate. This isn't definitive proof one way or another.

Meanwhile areas of the Rockies have received more snow than in a hundred years.
