I don't see how anyone could have a problem with this compromise.

Why would you keep people who grew up here and will spend the rest of their lives here from becoming citizens?

What an a-hole

How can we expect to get the best and brightest over here if we are not offering food stamps, housing, medicaid, and disability?

While Senator Paul agrees with Trump rescinding the order on the grounds that it is unconstitutional, he is against deporting those who have benefited from the program — and doesn’t think it would ever happen in the first place. Therefore, the Kentucky senator has decided to try and pair a compromise with funding for border security and limits on immigration.

According to sources close to Paul, the senator is planning to introduce a bill or an amendment that will allow current DACA recipients to stay, but will subtract the number from the immigration limits for a number of years so that there is no net increase.

While many may immediately say this is unfair to those in line to immigrate to the United States properly, Paul’s plan would not allow DACA recipients to gain citizenship — they would simply be allowed to remain here and continue to work. Paul also believes that all welfare should be cut off for those who are not US citizens.

Rand Paul is a heartless and cruel bastard.

You know how much we got back in taxes collected from the illegals - 1.27 Billion.

That's what you call losing, big time.

Not doubting you but do you have a link for these numbers?

interesting. i was as well, just didn't get that vibe from your post election comments. I went to Cruz reluctantly, then third party, hoping that Trump pulled off the upset anyways.

don't mean anything by it, just interesting from reading your views where you take more of an opposition view against Trump.

you don't get credit, but you're a totally reasonable non-Trumpkin.

The only other thing I would like to see on that is an end date for accepting new DACA's. The problem I foresee is that without such a stipulation we will still be incentivizing people to not just come here illegally but to specifically come here illegally with their kids. This would return us to prior illegal immigration numbers, which were much higher than annual allowed immigration numbers.

What the hell is wrong with people? Its not OK to pass EO's like this. There should be absolutely zero outrage from anyone about what Trump is doing.

Its congress's job or else we do not have a democracy.

Trump should have adopted Rand's healthcare plan and promoted it too.

1. President McDreamy could do no wrong in their eyes.

2. If it's something they agree with then it's okay, they don't really understand the whole "slippery slope" concept.

Screw Rand Paul and the rest of the useless Congress, they had ZERO intentions of ever doing anything about illegal immigration until Trump forced their hand and oh yeah screw the stupid Americans out there who are screaming bloody murder about Trump forcing their hands, yall are stupid.

Mostly, yes, but yet again when it comes to immigration breaking the law, cutting in line is rewarded. It will only encourage more illegals.
