That last graph is due almost entirely to the relative low income of Hispanics in America. It obviously will change once they get richer.

A good analogy, in my opinion, is that of the Irish. The Irish came here in the 19th century poor as frick, and voted democratic by 90-10 margins. Once the offspring became richer and more financially stable, the GOP became their home. Today, I would wager that 60-65% of whites of Irish descent identify with the grand old party.

People seem to forget that the republicans have been accused of being for only the rich man since the 1850s. That talking point really hurt them among poor European immigrants in the 19th and 20th century, and is currently hurting them among Mexican immigrants.

Blacks changed philosophies in the early 20th century. From reconstruction to 1920s, Blacks admired people like booker T. Washington, then they started believing in the words of Dubois.
So, the "southern strategy" of the late Lee Atwood had no bearing on their philosophies?

Lee Atwater? He wasn't even on the scene when Nixon ran for office. Also blacks voted in a landslide for a ticket that had LBJ on it.

Only 34% of registered Hispanic voters support granting blanket amnesty to "undocumented immigrants".

If illegal immigration is reduced by 90%, registered Hispanic voter support for granting amnesty to "undocumented immigrants" increases to 60%.

56% of registered Hispanic voters (51% all adults) oppose allowing illegal aliens to obtain federal benefits "while they are going through the legalization process and before the 90% goal is reached."

Hispanic voters ranked immigration reform last (31%) among a list of four priority issues, behind the economy (62%), healthcare (57%), and education (45%).

60% of Hispanic voters support tougher enforcement, with only 35% opposed.

64% of Hispanic voters support the use of E-verify, with only 29% opposed.

I have yet to see a poll or any other metric that supports your claim about hispanics views on gay marriage. Care to offer a link or anything that backs this up?

Not recently, although in nearly every case, poll questioning is based on the same biased premise of illegality, rather than federal/state recognition. But in comparison to other polls based on the same question, apples-to-apples, Hispanics favor Gay Marriage by a significant margin.

Yes Latinos are pretty consevative in most moral issues. But atlas so where black folk and look how easy the Democratic Party got the vast majority of them to sell Thier souls for a few trinkets. I mean how anyone could say thruly believe that when they die they face God, but support people who make killing one of Gods unborn and allowing homosexuality to be seen as the same Man and wife is quite telling . So let's see,a few trinkets or external damnation, humm what you think track fan? Are you one of these kind of Christians?

Oh and by the way,I'm no Christian and don't pretend to be.

I don't really care what your charts and graphs say, I live in south Texas and I can say from thorough experience that they hate "jotos" (Spanish slang approximately equal to f@ggot).

They kick gay kids out of the house, have priests come and try to exorcise them, all kinds of shite.

I've found that polls seem to reflect the mindset of the current political party in power.

Under Bush polls showed majority of people against gay marriage and abortion.

Now under Obama it has flip flopped.

Do you really think people's minds change on these issues in such a short time?

I think polls are deliberately skewed when done on social issues in order to promote the agenda of the party in power. This is for both sides, and is largely done to try to convince the other side to lean more their way on certain issues.

IMO it's best for each party to stick to it's beliefs and don't let polls affect your legislation or how you campaign. Stick to your principles and speak your message as best as you can, and see how the cards fall.

I imagine what happens is that people in these polls are told which party supports which position. If exit polls have shown anything its that you can get people to say they support anything so long as you associate it with their candidate.

Watching black people get interviewed about sicial issues in 2008 was hysterical.

"Do you support abortion?"

"Nah thats murder man"

"Do you support gay marriage?"

"Nah man thats not how God designed it"

"And who did you vote for?"

"Obama baby!!!"
