The mothers are getting money for food. Is Joe going to punish them if they spend on drugs, tatoos, and designer clothing.

It's like he spins the "Wheel of One-Liners" every damn day. It's just pathetic and laughable at this point.

They probably have it set up to buy fake meat from Gates and other modified food.

That school lunch program is working great today. They let them go to school right?

Well, Karen Carpenter wasn't really a child.

I volunteer with the food bank and with a homeless shelter... I often pick up food that is going out of date from trader Joe's and drop it off.

If you saw the amount of food that food bank and shelters waste, you'd be floored! There's tremendous supply, and a little effort would allow anyone to be able to feed their children well.

If there was a better distribution program, valready the parents put a little effort in, I can promise you no one would go hungry

Working with underserved teens I was able to secure food from the food bank to provide meals for them during our meetings. However, it was a huge investment in time and the person in charge was incredibly difficult to get in touch with. It's important that they have a system in place to try and limit abuse of their resources. However, it's incredibly inefficient and does not seem to have internal checks in place.

$50 billion annually in foreign aid and they claim 11 million kids in the US go hungry. Something doesn't add up.

That is such bullshite I do not even know where to start. Food and water are the most basic needs for survival. My wife and I had this discussion the other day. One, we waste more food in this country now than anytime in history. Also, we export more food now than any time in history. Food might be the 5-6 highest expense per month for most people including the poor. If people spend more on a car, house, cellphone, cable per month than they do on food, then if they do not have a meal it is on them. Any child that has to go hungry should be removed from that household immediately. Stop rewarding shitty parents with more money. Children go hungry because of their parents, not because we do not spend enough money.

And their parents are to blame, not the rest of us. Sometimes sons must suffer the consequences of their fathers' sins to make real positive change instead of shifting responsibility.

Perhaps this is a good reason not to allow millions of illegal immigrants into our nation while unemployment is at an all time high.

And in most cases, if their parents made better decisions, they would not be hungry...

Nope, I do not believe it at all... Every school where I live offers free breakfast, free lunch, and a take home bag dinner/lunch in the afternoon that is available to any kid that wants it free of charge...

Now, I have heard a bus driver tell about a kid asking if he could pick them up early on Monday because they do not get anything to eat at home... That is a piece of shite parent right there... However, she is drawing full food stamps on those kids...
