No. First Brothers and nuns live in Communes. They live the Marxist economic model. So do Monks. One could argue priests live under more of a socialist model, as opposed to communist.

Does not make Francis communist, or socialist, but it does render him more familiar with those models.

they choose to live in a community where they come together to provide for themselves and they have no possessions. Ok that is more socialist but that doesn't make him a socialist. That is more like a large family who work together to provide for each-other, not a socialist society. Plus many religious communities are founded on hundred or thousand year old principles. Living in a commune was much more common in the past than recently.

Ok I'm seriously done this time I want to watch the saints screw themselves of a higher pick

The 'Church' will convene and decide how much each of the 7 billion or so people we have will get to make it equal and the 'Church' will hold all holdings of value.

the "economic system centered on the god of money" fueled by "the frenetic rhythm of consumption" has lifted more people out of poverty in the past 15 years than the Catholic church has managed in its entire history.

ctf, that is not the point. The point is that is the system with which they are familiar. It is the system with which Francis is most familiar.
