You know Ted Cruz would have to agree to serve. He wants no part of getting out of the limelight.
The Supreme Court is a circus. You think being a disruptive force in that court is getting out of the limelight?

All negative news all the time was never going to work.
Heard on tv this morning by some media "specialist' that 91% of the media's reporting is negative towards Trump. The lady also said more negative articles have been written about Trump since his inauguration than Obama had written about him in his last four years as president.

The whole "the other guy really sucks so you need to vote for me" message never works. Ask John Kerry or Mitt Romney. If democrats think it'll work next November or in 2020, they're sorely mistaken.

Cruz has already said he would accept. LINK Now that just leaves if Trump has enough, does not GAF's to do it. I say yeah. I think this is why Cruz didn't want AG.

When Democrats go and talk to working-class voters, we think talking to them about how we can help their children go to college, they have a better life, is great,” said Ali Lapp, executive director of House Majority PAC, which supports Democratic House candidates. “They are not interested. … It’s a problem when you have a growing bloc in the electorate think that college is not good, and they actually disdain folks that go to college.”
Medicare-for-all tests better, but it, too, generates suspicion. The challenge is that most voters in focus groups believe it’s a pipe dream — they ask who will pay for it and suspect it will lead to a government takeover of health care — and therefore wonder whether the politicians talking to them about it are being less than forthright, too. Sen. Bernie Sanders is scheduled to release a single-payer bill on Wednesday, with Sens. Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, Cory Booker and Tammy Baldwin among those joining him.

Raising the minimum wage to $15 is as unpopular as it was when the Obama White House tried to make it Democrats’ rallying cry in the 2014 midterms. Participants in battleground-state focus groups said they see that rate as relatively high and the issue in general as being mostly about redistributing money to the poor.
A whole bunch of fail on the Dems. They are in for a shock come 2018.

so you're saying that calling Trump AND the people who voted for him Nazis and white supremacists isn't having the results desired in Trump states?
I can't see why this isn't working. They must be too ignorant to not see it their way.

An aside to the thread - I heard on the Science Channel this morning that the USGA predicts that there is a 78% chance that a large part of CA will have a major earthquake within 30 years. Not the small ones of late but a very devastating quake to that location.
From Oakland south, according to their calculations, you better grab your arse.

I would argue that Ted Cruz wants the constitution upheld. There is no place better to do that than from the USSC.

Also Florida and NYC will be underwater due to global war..... I mean "climate change"

They're also going after Trump for things that don't matter - they're talking about issues that voters don't care about.

The liberal media doesn't understand that the more hysterical and over the top they get, they just prove his point for him.
The negative press has no impact on the mainstream public's opinion of him because people know the press is 100% dead set on trying to smear and destroy him at every turn so it just all becomes one loud screeching sound.

In other words, all outrage, all the time, 24/7, has the opposite effect. It makes people tune it out.

It suggests that Democrats are naive if they believe Trump’s historically low approval numbers mean a landslide is coming. The party is defending 10 Senate seats in states that Trump won and needs to flip 24 House seats to take control of that chamber.
If the GOP loses the house and/or suffers losses in the senate, it will be because the GOP repubs in Congress depressed their base by refusing to carry out what they promised their voters, not Trump having "low approval ratings".
