I thought there was already several police officers in the building for something completely unrelated. I’m not sure if these were the cops that went up to the 32nd floor.

There was and those cops are the ones who got to the room first, via a tip from hotel security from the hotel guest who called in and reported the gunfire was from the floor directly above him.

This was all literally confirmed verbatim by the LVMPD Sheriff in his press conference just yesterday.

The "tip" was from a hotel security guard who was shot when he approached the room. 1-2 minutes after being shot he called in the exact location. Likely cops were zeroing in on the hotel (and Luxor) right after the shooting started anyway.

Wrong, the cops knew the shooter was on the 32nd floor when they arrived on the 32nd floor, they already knew he was there. What they didn't know, was which suite he was in, the security guard told them that.

12 minutes is a fairly long time. Just sayin

getting up the 32nd floor would take a fair amount of time. not to mention just getting to the elevators in mandalay bay takes forever (on purpose).

Why did it take them another 60 Minutes to blow the door?

Smoke alarm in the room from the gunfire told the hotel staff which room it was.

Did it have a smoke alarm? Most hotel rooms have sprinklers, which use fuses set off thermally, not with smoke.

It's possible there was a smoke alarm, but I havent seen it yet.

Guy on Hannity just said there was two LVPD officers in the lobby of the hotel writing up a report when the shooting started.

Most high rise hotels in Vegas have sensors that notify security of a window breech. Security will notify Metro 99.9% of the time when a breech is made. There’s never a good reason for a window breech.

The SHerrif explained this as well. He said it was a tactical choice based on the fact that the firing had stopped. If the firing had began again they would have breached immediately.

Also, remember that although the first officers were at the room within 12 minutes of the beginning of the shooting, it was about 30 minutes before SWAT got on scene and to the room , and ultimately they are the ones who breached.

There were SEVERAL officers in the hotel when the shooting began, They were working an event inside the hotel. THese officers left their event and went up to the room.

Smoke detection is required baw. When they go off they tell the fire panel EXACTLY where the problem is.

Smoke detection and sprinklers are independent of each other but both can activate the fire alarm.

Smokeless powder is only relatively smokeless. Compared to muskets loaded with black powder a modern bullet would be "smokeless".

Wow what? Have you ever rock n rolled with a fully auto rifle? There isn't much smoke to begin with.

Now imagine you are 32 floors up firing out of one of two broken windows , and realize that the fricking smoke detectors didn't go off.

There is NO evidence that the smoke detectors, or fire alarms went off that night.

I mean seriously do yall realize the LVMPD has actually told us EXACTLY what happened and in what order? NO mention of smoke alarms. NONE

Seems rather odd to do that. Maybe the perp was reloading or his gun was jamming up - hence the pause in shooting.

No, not really.

Or maybe he was hoping they'd rush into something he set up for them...
