Are we a sovereign nation or not? Why even bother having immigration laws when you can come here, take taxpayer money, use taxpayer resources, and be given immunity from federal prosecution and deportation?

That's not even the biggest more important point.
As a sovereign country, WE determine who immigrates here...and of those that immigrate here, WE determine what the path is to citizenship.
There should absolutely be no path to citizenship for illegal aliens. None.

Why do they deserve it? I don't agree. I think they broke the law and while their plights may cause me some sadness in certain instances, their problems are not my own.

There is a pathway to citizenship. They can leave the country, get in line and go through the proper channels. That worked for my grandparents who fled a tough situation with no money in their pockets.
While we're taking care of everyone, I think it's time for her to recognize the dignity of my not having to stroke a check to the government every year.
I get it's just all about votes but it's beyond how much the Left will pander and wax poetic about people who have no respect for our sovereignty.

We must recognize term limits; retroactively IMO, not illegal immigrants, but that's just logic....
