And yet none of those four took Mary into their home after the crucifixion. Instead it was the apostle John.

Makes sense only if they weren't Mary's children.

You have to take at least two fishing. You take only one and he'll drink all of beer.

No, what you can do for The Church.

Nice straw man, though.

And how many will leave the churches that don’t leave? I’d say over half if not 75%. The donation plates will dry up and the church will close.

Friends Church he grew up in.. They missed the needed votes to disaffiliate by a dozen votes. So the 250ish (of appx400) that voted to leave... Up and left along with the pastor. They are currently using a Baptist Church sanctuary . They are planning to build/buy their own property at some point

Assuming correctly.

Also, There are three main religious truths:

Jews do not recognize Jesus as the Messiah.

Protestants do not recognize the Pope as the leader of the Christian faith.

Baptists do not recognize each other in the liquor store.

A teacher asked her students to bring an item to class that represented their religious beliefs.

A Catholic student brought a crucifix.

A Jewish student brought a Menora.

A Southern Baptist student brought Corning Ware.

More of a small town Baptist thing... but they are going to bring covered dishes to any and everything. Funerals, Pot Lucks etc. There's going to be covered dishes brought.

The denomination abandoned the Word of God on the sacrament of marriage which resulted in the departure of churches

but the flaw of Catholicism is that the Bible says whatever one specific person says it is. So Catholics don't even have any choice about participating in heresy when the Pope decides to commit it.

The Pope alone does not interpret the Bible for Catholics. There is a teaching authority organization called the Magisterium for that.

The homosexual debate isn't even an attack on perspicuity or sola scriptura, at least not as you want it to be. In fact, this particular issue proves the point for the clarity of Scripture and the authority of Scripture.

Perspicuity of Scripture Doctrine regarding Bible passages on Salvation is dis-proven with this very incident. The Pro Gay Methodists very clearly stand on the Perspicuity Doctrine in their declaration that the No Gay Methodists are UN-biblical. Here is the article:

LINK

" Thus, many of those now leaving the denomination, purportedly on biblical grounds, have apparently not read all of the Bible, or at least have not read some parts of it carefully, faithfully and fully, especially Galatians 3:28 and similar passages within the full and fully liberating arc of biblical theology. Yep. In the culture of the time the eldest child took care of their parents in old age. Joseph was presumably dead and Mary was presumably a widow. Instead of entrusting their mother to one of His supposed siblings, Christ looked to the Apostle John - which would have been scandalous had Jesus had living brothers or sisters.

Running joke among Methodists (we are the real ones). We ride around with frozen casseroles in the trunk in case one of our members gets sick or has surgery or whatever. Never know when it will be needed.

Does this help?

Matthew 13:55-56
New International Version

55 “Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother’s name Mary, and aren’t his brothers James, Joseph, Simon and Judas? 56 Aren’t all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things?”

Yes that helps, thank you. My previous post covers 3 of the 4 listed in that passage. James, Joseph, and Judas (Jude) are the sons of Clopas and Mary of Clopas. Since Mary of Clopas was the sister of Jesus' mother, they were first cousins with Jesus.

This is hilarious for a number of reasons. Not the least of which is that Catholic-enabled Liberation theology is at least partially responsible for millions of deaths in Central and South America.

You’re making philosophical arguments while ignoring real-world counter-realities.
