The CEO of outdoor clothing giant Patagonia is burnishing her anti-Republican bona fides again, this time saying she intends to pledge her entire company to the “resistance” of President Donald Trump.
quote:
Patagonia CEO Rose Marcario recently attacked President Trump for his statements about rolling back President Obama’s unusually aggressive campaign of confiscating millions of acres of state lands and claiming them as “national monuments.”
“We have to fight like hell to keep every inch of public land,” Marcario said in a May article at Huffpost. “I don’t have a lot of faith in politics and politicians right now.”
In an effort to prevent citizens from retaking possession of their state lands, one of her immediate actions will be to sue the Trump administration for its efforts to scale back Obama’s unprecedented land grab.

I like Patagonia's style of jackets, raincoats and windbreakers. How can a CEO of a large organization be so stupid to alienate a large segment of their customer buying base?
It's not like Columbia, Merrell, North Face or Arc'teryx do not exist.

But, despite its acclaimed high-minded activism, Patagonia has a troubled history of its own, having been tied to human trafficking and child labor in its supply chain.
WTF?

Wonder if she's ever walked around an SEC football stadium on game day. If so, dumb move on her part.

The group that she is pandering to can't afford those $200 plus jackets.

Just what we need, more #ResistanceSummer rhetoric. I'm sure James Hodgkinson would have approved.

She's upset about curtailing the Federal government's land grab from the states? Really?

Supports federal government confiscating land and is against the land's rightful return? If the shareholders have any sense they'll step in quickly. The customer base is loaded with conservatives and alienating them will be costly.

10 responses and not 1 addressing the actual issue the CEO is against, which is selling off federal park land to private parties.

Because you may like it, but overall we are not a Large Segment of their buyers, the other folks are, this is a marketing strategy, they still suck

Trump needs to confiscate all the lands her stores are on and declare them as National Monuments.
