Also how can homsexuality be a genetic deviation from the norm and not be a disease? Is it now acceptable to abort a baby because it has the gay gene?

I think that is the wrong question

There are lots of deviations from the norm that are not considered a disease (blue eyes and red hair)

I think the long term issue is the ethics of gene therapy on a homosexual fetus.

I think the ethics are already decided via abortion law.

To play devil's advocate, why do you believe that?

Without typing a diatribe, to me its akin to personal preference in many other aspects of life.

God created zero homosexuals, they are homosexuals because they love evil.

You keep advocating for these perverts and you will be answering for your stupidity.

While I agree that homosexuality is a sin and gays are sinners (but everyone is a sinner) you need to tone down the rheotoric. You come across a ignorant bible thumping redneck and you piss me off and I agree with you for the most part.

You're almost like a cartoon character. Sometimes I wonder if you're actually an alter of one our liberal posters.

Smoking isn't just a behavior, but a consistent introduction of toxins into the body. It is these toxins that cause endothelial dysfunction and resultant errors in DNA regulation/replication. However, I also said a specific place in the genome, and smoking doesn't cause that as much as it causes global abnormalities.

The underlying science comes from studies carried out in 2009 at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute in Cambridge. Researchers sequenced the DNA of tumour samples taken from lung cancer patients to determine the number of mutations present. These sequences were compared to those in normal tissue samples from these patients. More than 23,000 mutations were found in the cancer genome – approximately one for every 15 cigarettes smoked.

I haven't visited the Poliboard in a while. Let's go see what's happening over there...

11% concordance rate. That doesn't seem "much more likely" to me.

How does the concordance rate of MZ, DZ, and siblings and alcoholism strike you? Or even just drug addiction?

I am not following you posts very carefully but you siad this
quote:

Can you give me an example of a behavior that reliably leads to a specific re-coding of DNA at a specific place in the genome?

then the bas said smoking and you followed by saying
quote:

Smoking isn't just a behavior, but a consistent introduction of toxins into the body. It is these toxins that cause endothelial dysfunction and resultant errors in DNA regulation/replication. However, I also said a specific place in the genome, and smoking doesn't cause that as much as it causes global abnormalities.

and I posted that smoking causes 23,000 mutations in the genome so just pick on.

Here is one
quote:

In lung cancers, the p53 mutational patterns are different between smokers and nonsmokers with an excess of G to T
Yes I am being a dick

So if smoking changes a G to a A. I think they should do a study on if taking it in the butt changes DNA. They should compare homesexual male on male with heterosexual male on female anal sex. I volunteer to stick in Kate Upton's arse.
