other than him not being Merrick Garland, I have no issue with his confirmation. Seems to be a solid choice.

I am waiting for that day. That crusty old bitch needs to retire.
Liberal RBG will be replaced by a moderate if Trump makes the appointment. Preferably someone that will keep politics out of the court....which IMO is something RBG failed miserably at lately.
I'm taking her recent outbursts as evidence that she becoming unsuitable for the court right now. I expect her to put off retirement until she can no longer function.

Amazing isn't it that the Dems on the committee are asking questions that they have found that are in documents from 20-30 years old but they have no problem with Clinton not being able to come up with 30,000 emails in the years from '09 to '13.

Graham is such a fricking cuck.
Graham was the only elected member of the legislature that initially opposed Gorsuch's nomination to the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals in 2006. He eventually fell in line with everyone else in Washington and backed his nomination. As stated earlier, a long list of distinguished Democrats supported Gorsuch then.

Trump is gonna tweet.
I think it is important that someone initiate a serious, respectful national conversation about Lindsey Graham's propensity to being a complete douchebag.

It's not like Gorsuch is replacing a liberal like Ruth Bader Ginsburg anyways. I do expect a fight if she were to retire during Trump's tenure, but not with Scalia's replacement.
I think her plan will be to retire in Trump's last year of this term if Democrats can take the senate back. If they can't take the senate back I assume she will try and go at the beginning if the next term regardless of who wins the election.
She needs to retire, but with her past comments about Trump I think she will try to hold it off until she absolutely can't any longer.

It concerns me that she's apparently unable to keep partisan politics outside of the court where it belongs. IMO the sooner she is replaced, the better.

I love how liberals will defend a proud white supremacist like RBG to the hilt.

This Whitehouse goon is going to try to attack.
I hope Gorsuch eats him alive.

Sheldon Whitehouse is acting like a cock. There is a difference between asking tough questions and being incredibly disrespectful.
This guy is taking a very different tone than other Democrats. He's not being tough, he's being disrespectful and partisan.

I just looked at my wife and said the same thing, "Whitehouse is being a dick!"

Excellent answer. SCOTUS should not be involved in politics.

Is Senator Whitehouse actually requesting that a SCOTUS nominee dive into partisan politics?
Gorsuch's response is clearly above that, as it should be.
