So we're going to act like the whole other topic of obstruction of justice just goes away?

No, but I don't see how anyone can get their hopes up that there is concrete evidence to support the allegation. Barr, in his summary, characterized Mueller's support of Obstruction as "very public" and said it doesn't amount to a chargeable offense. There is nothing that has been released publicly about this ordeal that comes close to obstruction. If I had to guess, Mueller is referencing the Comey firing and Trump's hints that a hard timetable be placed on the investigation. Neither of those come close to obstruction of justice./

This, I can totally agree with.

However, why would this necessitate keeping the report sealed? If the report exonerates you, why not relaese it? Refusing to release a report that supposedly proves your innocence is the legal equivalent of saying "I have a girlfriend, but she goes to another high school...you wouldn't know her".

THAT isn't why the report will be sealed/redacted

classified information

information from grand juries

information related to ongoing investigations/prosecutions

personal information of innocent parties and third parties

Trump doesn't get to make this call. Ironically he could be obstructing justice by ordering Barr to release the information right now

The report will be released almost on its entirety. Barr has stated numerous times that his goal is to release as much to the public as possible.

James Comey (on Hillary’s emails):
Her actions to not rise to a level of a crime.
Trumpists: Lock Her Up!

Barr (on the Trump - Russia investigation):
The president's actions do not rise to a level of a crime.
Trumpists: Total Vindication!

Let me know when the AG directed the FBI to not charge Trump regardless of the findings.

Like I said, I’ll wait until the report is released but I don’t see anything that suggests obstruction.

More importantly, are we going to finally now acknowledge the fact that BY WAY OF COMPARISON, Donald J. Trump is more honest and ethical than 99% of the people in Washington, Hollywood and the Media?

Dude is a SAINT compared to the people that have been hounding and hating him.

Question which may have already been answered:

I would assume Muellers team, as part of its investigation, thoroughly reviewed Trumps financial records and tax returns? If there were anything suspicious it would have come out, no? So can’t we put this whole “he won’t release his tax returns” shite to bed?

because it has fricking grand jury testimony in it, all of it won't ever be released

Do you even know how grand jury testimony works?

God damn, the fricking fog of stupidity this country has to work through is smothering.

and it is fricking coming out in a few weeks anyway
