I have zero problem with this.

I served 6 years and hated women in the military but only because they didn't have to live up to the same standards men do.

Those that can "man up" to the exact same standards should be eligible.

I like to believe that American men fight wars so our women and children are protected. We should not be sending them off to die.

It may be the worst decision in the History of the court because it is the first time in History that a tax was allowed to be levied on inactivity.

I guess in their mind breathing is an activity.

It was passed because someone threatened Roberts with something so intimidating that he reversed himself and sided with the government. Such was referenced in the Podesta emails, but what he was scared with was never revealed. I, for one, want to know what it took to effectively blackmail a Supreme Court Justice.

As I recall, rumor was that it was something fishy in the way his kids were adopted.

Obama admin has repeatedly used a scheme called sue and settle. An outside group sues the EPA for a regulation they don't like and the admin declines to defend itself and settles.

Similar process could be used here - encourage someone to challenge the constitutionality of Obamacare and decline to defend the suit and the law gets overturned.

That's how dens play democracy.

They absolutely did and did not at the same time.

Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. “Today you are arguing that the penalty is not a tax,” he told Solicitor General Donald B. Verrilli Jr., the administration’s lead advocate. “Tomorrow you are going to be back and you will be arguing that the penalty is a tax. Has the court ever held that something that is a tax for purposes of the taxing power under the Constitution is not a tax under the Anti-Injunction Act?”

Why? The precedent of the power to tax is set.

What is being taxed...the individual for simply existing??? Thats a stretch, i don't care who you are.

It passed because Obama blackmailed Roberts about the adoption of his children.
