Damn we might have a winner here. Time to purge that city big time.

Ohh I don’t disagree with any of this. Will New Orleans always be an attractive place for folks who love to visit to live? Absolutely. Is that economic activity (Los Angelinos buying a house and working remotely) what New Orleans needs to grow and evolve? No.

The only strike against Helena is she’s white, but she’s still decent looking so she’ll pull the black male vote.

NOLA would get a twofer from Helena if they had a crime wave. She’d act as mayor to fight the crime wave, and act as field reporter for local TV at crime scenes.

Obviously most know nothing about politics. I said she is the Best case scenario choice. It’s either her, who could definitely attract CEOs , or another Teedy like narcissistic idiot. You’re not getting Reagan or Ike. You must make a logical choice.

That's sound reasoning, imo. Again, let me repeat, I know nothing of her, so agreeing with your logic isn't me straight up supporting HER. But I can apply this similar stance to the likes of Trump with the neverTrumper Rinos. They want freaking a Pat Boone, Billy Graham, squeaky clean image but are oblivious to the fact that no such person exists. Not in politics at least.

The policies they CLAIM they support would be pushed and achieved with an 'off brand' candidate, but to these purists only want one who reflects their values. They don't want to be bothered with mean tweets. They're far more willing to lay down and let a corrupt AF crime family like Biden or Clinton into office than suffer the embarrassment of having to answer questions about a fake golden shower video in a *Moscow hotel room which never existed.

*And to date, no one has EVER come right out and explained exactly what is alleged here. As I understand the story, at some point after the Obama's had stayed in a luxury suite in Moscow, Trump stayed in that very same room. And as some sort of spiteful move, Trump is alleged to what.. hire 2 Russian hookers and had them wee wee on the same bed as Barack and Michael slept in? To what freaking POINT?? How is that 'dissing' the Obama's? It makes zero sense, even in a fetish world. Trump showed up AFTER they did, not before. Nothing he does then will affect them, as they were never coming back to stay in that exact same room. And even IF it was before, so what? The sheets obviously would be changed, if not the entire mattress.

It's just so pathetic and lame a claim, that the mere innuendo of it all is enough to make folks assume "the worst".

But it never happened. It could have never happened, not because of the reasons above, but Trump is a bit of a germophobe. I think Hillary purposefully projected her OWN fetish fantasies onto Trump as a means to embarrass him.

That's how fricking SICK she and the Democrats are!

You could also be describing Pol Pot.
What’s your point?

She is a leftist Democrat that could give two fricks about anything but herself.

She has NO PLAN.

Talk is cheap.

The lesser of two evils.

As for the underlined part, I think that you VASTLY overrate her ability to follow through (or her desire to actually do so in the first place).

She is better than Teedy, but only in appearance. At her core, she is what she is, a useless Democrat ensconced in Woke ideology.

Back in the early 2000's, Cynthia McKinney was voted out of office by me and some other conservatives. We primaried her arse with a more moderate Democrat, knowing full well a Republican would never be elected in that district. It worked.

Was her replacement essentially useless and voted mostly along the lines of the Left? Yep. But she was the better choice. Not greatly but booting McKinney out of office was reason enough to celebrate.

New Orleans had a chance to renew itself after Katrina but quickly flushed it down the crapper. There were a couple of businessmen running for Mayor who possibly could have turned some things around running the city like a business, but Mayor Chocolate City was re-elected. That city is getting everything they voted for and deservingly so.

New Orleans, Shreveport, BR are all pretty much lost causes now. Sure you'll have nice pockets in each of them but you are surrounded by rampant crime and poverty.

Ok , suppose I own a major manufacturing business and I need to be located next to a major river to receive my raw materials and ship out my finished product.
The Mississippi River looks good.
I need a educated work force that is dependable.
I need a low tax rate.
I need dependable electrical power.

New Orleans strikes out because of the taxes are too high and no dependable educated workforce.
Also I might get wiped out by a hurricane and the insurance system in Louisiana is collapsing.
New Orleans is doomed until they can turn these items around.
The next mayor has too be a completely different person if it is ever to come back.

Don’t forget the graft and payoffs a company has to face to even begin to do business in N.O. People in any position of power come out of the woodwork looking for a payoff to facilitate things. And then the family members of those powerful people show up looking for their piece of the pie.

New Orleans rarely gets a desirable business to open shop in Orleans Parish until the company has been wildly successful in other parts of the country for years. Whole Foods, COSTCO, Top Golf, etc. get residents excited when they are rumored to be interested in the N.O. market but people should really get frustrated and ask the folks in charge “what took so long?”
