frick off, you are not nice I just read this

But DuPont’s own research calls that characterization into question. The company submitted 16 reports of adverse incidents related to GenX between 2006 and 2013, describing experiments in which lab animals exposed to the chemical developed cancers of the liver, pancreas, and testicles as well as benign tumors. The industry research also tied GenX to reproductive problems, including low-birth weight and shortened pregnancies in rats, and changes in immune responses.

I would think filtering will keep you safe. It just depends on how good your filter is and how small the molecules of this compound are. Boiling probably won't help you, since that's pretty much to kill organisms.
I don't trust bottled water either. Studies have shown that it's not always so 'pure.'

I don't think you should worry too much until you find info of how much you need to ingest before signs of toxicity can occur. 600 ppt is very low, unless this stuff is stupidly toxic.

So it's bottled water for even coffee from now on. Tell me a bottled water from a city with non toxin filled water.

If you want, CA, I can give you some info on rainwater collection and natural plant filtration systems.

Who is your electric carrier? Did you know that Duke Energy doubled rates to pay for the last hurricane and their ash spill frick up?

DuPont will make it go away just like 3M did in Decatur, AL when they dumped a shite ton of PFOA & PFOS into the Tennessee river.
Everything did not go away, there is still a lawsuit proceeding against them. They paid off one public utility which used the money to put filters on that removed the pollutant. They just had a motion to dismiss the case denied.

There's an endless amount of little hollers and towns across the mountains. Asheville is obviously the only thing of decent size in the area, and even it isn't all that large. You can find some great acreage for a reasonable price, if you don't give a shite about being close to 'cultural activities'.

Let DuPont assume financial liability for removal and damages, as should be the case for every similar problem. If companies bear serious litigious responsibility for pollutants, the market will force their hand towards better practices.
I agree with the hippie.

You have an excellent point. If you study the fine print of bottled water it says it is tap city water.
Ozarka bottled water, for example, comes from 3 natural springs in Texas: Roher spring, Moffit spring, and Piney Woods spring.
