Anonymous retards are calling Nixon a tyrant and demanding UN peacekeepers.

These are the same idiots trying to get the cops to agree to a laundry list of demands like no arrests for minor crimes like throwing water bottles at cops.

These idiots will be in for a shock if the Guard goes all Chicago 1968 on them.

By that, I think they meant "Less chaos from kids stuck at school due to unsafe conditions."

Tuesday is Veteran's Day - so they may be trying to leverage that as well - and try to get it under control before "The Friday after Thanksgiving" (I didn't use the traditional name for obvious reasons.)

There might still be some on a parking lot down in New Orleans that are available if he runs short. Warning: they could have minimal water damage.

Sounds like some self-policing is in order then.

And by "minimal" we mean "inundated for weeks" and by "damage" we mean "totally fricking destroyed".

So whomever tied to the DA has said that the GJ is still looking at evidence and will meet again next Wed.... Saying "Mid November" is when they expect a decision.

Could be a deception plan.

Maybe we need Slick Willy to give us the definition of this word.

November is weird this year - Monday is the 10th - following Monday is the 17th - could November 18th or even 19th be considered "Mid"? Probably - that's over a week from now.

I'd think so. 10th-20th is about as mid as you can get I'd think.

Agree, but with how bad the PR for this ENTIRE incident has been handled, you have some pretty big balls and give 0 fricks about credibility to come out and say definitively that there isn't a decision and won't be until after next Wed.

I actually think the GJ is ready and they're being held - the initial plan appeared to have been get ready over this weekend and announce on Monday after the kids got home from school - giving them Veteran's Day to get things back under control. However, now, I believe their estimates have changed and they won't be ready until closer to next weekend - so they've released this now to punt a little.

At least this is how I read it - I was in the Louisiana National Guard for 18 1/2 years. Even if they're secondary to Missouri State Police, they're the largest moving piece at this point.

I would suggest they wait until Wednesday or Thursday of next week and release the decision in the very early evening hours.

I suggest they announce the decision on Friday. Every shopper knows you get the best deals on merchandise on Black Friday.

The thing that is going for calm and civil order is our short-attention span society. We have all largely moved on. It's old news, happened weeks ago.

So, yes, there will be some outrage and disorder. But it will be largely confined to a dedicated few nutjobs and we'll all move on. Heck, we already have.
