All this comes down to one question:
Did he shoot a dog?
Did he shoot a dog?

This honestly seems sketchy. Everyone has a price, but $95,000 seems a tad low to sell your soul. The kind of nonsense that we know exists in congress involves 6 and 7 figures… not 5
And those payments are not in the form of campaign contributions, they’re consulting contracts to family members like all of the ones Ukraine gave to the siblings and offspring of sitting officials like Hunter.

This wouldn't happen with a non corrupted fbi.

This is how it works. They compromised him, and now they can toss him overboard.

Why is this being reported now? It was announced in January by The Intercept. The aid bill was passed the week after he was confirmed as speaker (in Nov 2023) and had all republican support except for two.
I imagine it’s being brought up now since idiots are trying to conflate it with the more recent aid bill.
Tweet says “BREAKING”. Lol

BREAKING: House Speaker Mike Johnson allegedly received a $95,000 payment from a foreign lobby group shortly after the passing of the $14.5 billion military aid package late last year, according to FEC report.
Not to mention that it could be completely unrelated. Temporal precedence is irrelevant to the potential correlation between the payment and the aid package. What happened today is also "after the passing of the $14.5b military aid package last year."
Bribing...sorry, "lobbying"...Congressmen happens for sure, but I'm sure they're smart enough not to cut a check so soon after that it raises flags. That would be about as dumb as putting "for passing the aid package" in the memo line.
They're all crooks. Mike Johnson is probably a crook. But this isn't some smoking gun evidence of a payoff (absent further information).

$95,000
It would take a hell of a lot more money than that to get me to sell my nation to China. More money than exists in this world.
Apparently that was Johnson's price, though. He must be a terrible negotiator.
Really, this is conservatives, though. There was a point when our votes still mattered, and we kept electing and reelecting scumbags to their second, fourth and eighth terms. They, over time, passed enough passive legislation to ensure that they remain seated in office no matter what the actual vote totals might be. They are entrenched for life.
Look at the people who have actually been run out of Congress, though. Madison Cawthorn? Exposed the system and its members and their elicit activities - he gone. George Santos? Exposed the system and its members and their illicit activities, broke rules that every politician breaks- he gone.
Meanwhile, Congress to this day still remains silent on the federal bribery charges against the still-seated Bob Menendez after he was found with ill-gotten physical gold, precious valuables and arse loads of cash sewn into various articles of his clothing. Not. A. fricking. Peep.
Our sedentary pacifism in the political realm and our propensity towards replacing scum with scum, have combined to catalyze this modern politician scene. We are not without fault. But, what will we do to fix it?...

I don't doubt he was paid, but 95k seems very low.
