What laws do you fear?

At the moment, I don't "fear" any laws, but it gives me chills when people think it's their god given right or they prayed about it and god told them to do something or other. Slavery, wars, colonialism all come to mind.
But there are a number of religious based positions I disagree with:
1. Drugs
2. Prostitution
3. Abortion
4. Gay marriage
5. Comprehensive sex ed vs. abstinence education
Those are the big ones right off the top of my head. There really are no valid non religious objections to numbers one and two being illegal that can't be resolved with safety measures.
Abortion is ok in early stages, the body often naturally does this on its own so I have no problem with a safe medical procedure. Really no good non religious stance against this I've come across.
And gay marriage hurts absolutely no one, but it makes religious folk uncomfortable so yeah being against that makes loads of sense.
Sex Ed is a biggie due to the high numbers of teen pregnancy then me having to subsidize their child. In Europe they have very low rates. Why? Because their kids are educated about safe sex. Keep abstinence in the home and church, no place for that in schools.

A lot of people were joined in prayer for a Trump victory and that's a fact.

Have you not being paying attention... You think people praying are more wacko than the reaction of the democrats and the left the last few days?

Lots of people were joined for a Hillary victory, too. What's your point?

People believing they have God given rights bother/scare you?

Not worrried about a bunch of knuckleheads with no power to influence laws. They'll settle down and all will be normal. But folks like Ted Cruz and Abbott, well...

I have a prayer room where I pray that Michelle Bachmann will lose her ability to talk.

No. it's only when they think We all should live by their god given code and inject that into law. Have you been paying attention?

I'm all for early term abortion.
Somebody having an abortion has no affect on my life and I don't really give a frick.
However, cuckoos like this in power DO have a direct effect on my life.
So, it's all about you individually and not about he rights afforded everyone else under the Constitution. What if your mother had the same opinion and chose to abort?

One thing about the Trump voters around here that brings me a whole lot of happiness is that they see whacko shite like Bachmann in the OP for what it is. Straight up koolaid drinking bullshite.
Look, religion is one thing, but this whole "the second we started praying Jesus struck down the evil Clinton antichrist brigade" is next level crazy.
Id let Michelle handle my snake tho.

George Bush decided to invade Iraq emboldened by his faith and little more.
So, GWB got on TV and said, "Folks, I prayed about it and God told me to invade Iraq. We start tomorrow."
I guess God must have noticed all the UN resolutions that Saddam ignored/violated...

We're forcing people to have abortions now? Interesting.
Well, we wouldn't be having this conversation would we.

That a very weak line of argument. One could say the same thing about a neighbor who cooks crack and seels it to grade school kids, or beats his children. "Doesn't affect me, and I really don't give a frick".
p.s. This does not compare actions, just points out the weakness of that line of argument.
