i was wrong. This is what she is getting

quote:

As part of the multiyear agreement, Kelly will host her own one-hour daytime program, anchor an in-depth Sunday evening news magazine show and be a regular contributor to NBC News' special events coverage.

I guess it depends on what the daytime show is. MSNBC or NBC?

How much do you wanna bet she's gonna be basically herself?
are you naïve? these people want to pull an audience. she'll do whatever that takes. also, network and cable news organizations feel pressure and believe it or not, they do not behave from a position of leverage.

100% guarantee you she wouldn't give that interview to donna brazile at nbc and if she did, she'd feel the pressure and cut the shite. that's how it works.

Like Alisyn Camerota was? She flipped like a fish out of water. She's totally in the CNN tank now. Kelly will do the same.

obviously network. they're not paying her to do a daytime show on msnbc.

will be a catastrophe. you need to have charisma to do one of those, you need to be ostensibly relatable and know what interests people. moreover, segments can be political or newsy, but not the entire show, and these shows usually are 2 hours.

I cannot wait to watch this. she had her shot at network and put on the biggest bomb ever.

Not surprised. Fox news can't have an anchor disagree with their new emperor

people do that when they flip networks. fox news is full of liberal people, but they like money so they do what they're told

same with cnn, msnbc or network.

I have always liked Megyn Kelley, while there is no shot I will watch her show. I am probably more likely their target audience than you are.

We shall see though, and honestly I won't pay any attention.

I just don't watch TV.

I doubt she would make the move for a shittier job
I think she made the right move. i'm not arguing otherwise. more money with a larger opportunity

nbc is the one that fricked up because she's never proven she can pull an audience without a lot around her. I don't think they get the return they were hoping for and Carlson's ratings probably meant fox was done being strung along and gave her a take it or leave it, we're no longer bowing to every demand type of offer and she had this on the table and jumped.

well obviously they think differently. I trust a NBC executive more than you to make this call.

it surprises me how many people here watch that crap. there is a thread on the view almost every day.

There's a specific word for those kinds of people - whores. No conviction in what they spew as long as the paycheck is there.

Was Lou Dobbs a liberal shill when he was on CNN? No.

Is Larry Kudlow a liberal shill on CNBC? No.

Is Joe Scarborough a liberal shill on MSNBC? No.

O'Reilly used to be on CBS and ABC.

Glenn Beck used to be on CNN.

They are all allowed to be themselves. And Megyn Kelly is a bigger star than those people were when given their shows on those networks. If you think Megyn Kelly is going to NBC and will turn into a liberal shill, you're mistaken.

Leaving Fox to go to MSNBC/NBC is the equivalent of going from ESPN to Fox Sports. It doesn't matter what you did at ESPN your audience is going to be smaller at Fox Sports.

She's not going to MSNBC. She's going to NBC.

It's the equivalent of going from commentating college football on ESPN to commentating Sunday Night Football on NBC.

Nonsense. Anyone who dislikes Trump hates America. You can't be a Republican and hate America.

You should trust an abc executive more than me...they beat them in evening news with some nobody and have been catering to female audiences quite successfully for some time now. The golden age of the peacock is long gone. "The voice" is carrying NBC right now. It's been one frick up after another. They get murdered by the other networks sit coms, they lose quite regularly to abc news and this is the first good press they've had in a while. Their late night shows dominate though. Ironically the most public snafu when they yanked Conan was the best thing they've done

it's that or you don't go on television. it's because of the relationships these news outlets have with politicians and parties

nbc wants democrats to appear on their sunday shows and cable segments, so they are eager to please these people and their groups. it's the opposite of what it should be but the government, though not directly, has leverage over these networks and uses it. when the current administration is liberal, there's a lot of competition and no one wants to get frozen out and lag behind so they all play ball.

for republican politicians and the republican party, fox is the only game in town, but even still they have a lot of sway over the network. not as much as democrats have over the alphabet networks, cnn and msnbc.
