I had a guy in my fleet that had this problem. And he looked similar to how you described yourself.

Not your facility. At least have the courtesy to park, check in, and find out where to go from there.

Goes both ways, Douchebaggington. She could have said " would you mind moving to the other dock, or checking with us first next time?" rather than being a rude count.

That's what you always should do,and what I strive for.

Every place that I go,it's people on forklifts, unloading trucks, you know damn well they get sick of doing that.
They don't want to unload me,it's just more work.
I know this, and generally try to lighten attitudes up,and let them know that I appreciate them.
As I said before, all of us working people, are in this shite together, and I am on the same team as anyone with sweaty callused hands.

When I run into 1 place that nothing works, I have questions.

That's what you are trying hard, not to get.
I wanted somebody to tell me the protocol, but they ignore me and won't speak to me.

frick making apologies, when I am doing things right.
I will never do that.
I gave them almost 1 hour,to make it friendly.
After that, I have to force it.
This is the real world.

You do you, man! We all have our lines. In getting through my day I tend not to care if I give out a couple too many free passes to strangers.

If I have to work with them long term I’ll do what I can to address the issues but otherwise- please, thank you and sorry get me through pretty ok even if a few folks that don’t deserve the respect get it. I figure my bad experiences are generally rare, and they likely have something else getting them off kilter so no harm being polite to someone having a bad day.

If truly an hour of getting treated poorly for no reason, any one of us may have snapped back though

Maybe she isn't racist but just very irritated by having to raise kids on her own. I know watching after kids is very tiring and stressful.

Uhhhh I came up with wrong dock because the employee didn’t want you in that dock, Not because I lie to myself.

Your reading comprehension sucks. She never said it was the wrong dock, she was just pissed that she hasn't given permission to use it.

You seem like you're searching for things to nitpick here.

I’ll admit you can’t please all black women. Some you have no chance with. But if you are at say a drive through and say “thank you very much” in a nice tone when done 99% of the time they are much nicer to you when you pull around. It has to seem genuine though. Being from the south and going to a highschool that was 50/50 I’ve learned there is a certain way you have to communicate to them. And it has to seem genuine. If they catch an attitude just let it go. NOT WORTH IT

If you're looking for a reason to explain your bad experience, I can see why you might look to race but, really, I don't think that was the case here. There are places where morale is low, management is bad, and people are just there to punch the clock. Sounds like that's what you ran into. I wouldn't look any deeper into it than that. Don't take it personal.

Chick-fil-a vs McDonalds

One is glad you are there one hates you are there.

Easy to figure out why.

Maybe ole gal just needed to go out to the warehouse and open a box of these to make her day a little better.

After the fact with half the story we could write a million storylines.... truth is all you can really do is check your reaction to what happened and see if there’s anything you need to change about your own behavior

If it’s that rare for the guy and he handled it well for an hour... could be race, could be morale, could be their beloved manager got hit by a forklift that morning. At some point you chalk it up as a major exception and keep on moving instead of trying to find a commentary on society from it. That it almost never happens means life is pretty good is a decent takeaway from the 1 in 100 bad experience that’s additionally no fault of your own
