Meh. Weavers had bad intentions, and catalyzed some bad shite, so it's hard for me to feel sorry for him.
Didn't the ATF set him up the execute 2 members of the family?

He gave them a label
He applied specific crimes to the label
He uses it as a justification for denial of basic human rights, and their murder by their government.
Damn, DEG. You out-NAZI the KKK

This thread is a great litmus for fascism, I think.

Where do you draw the line in deciding who is a white supremacist and who is not?
If they vote DEM it don't matter if they are "White Supremacists" or not. Robert Byrd = conscience of the Senate.
If they vote GOP then they are white supremacists for sure. self-evident and to even want to debate the issue identifies you as the worst sort of White Supremacist, probably with a lynching or two in your past.

I don't really know all the in's and out's of the story but, as I understand it, the ATF basically entrapped the father so they had a reason to go up there and wreck shop. That's pretty scary stuff.

Weavers just wanted to be left alone; which is why they moved to the middle of nowhere.
It isn't a crime to go off the grid.
The FBI wanted him to be an informant of some skinhead compound that was like 50 miles away from his cabin.
So they entrapped him and then murdered his family when he wouldn't show up to court.
I guess domestic terrorism is now failure to appear in court.
Gerry Spence should give this idiot a call.

And he was found innocent of all charges, and won a major settlement against the government.
So our own government says those agencies were wrong.
But the progressive fascists only see a white guy in the woods. . .so he deserves whatever happens to him

If that's the case, then half of Maxine's constituency could be labeled domestic terrorists

Fair question. I guess I work under the premise that if you're a white supremacist, You aren't in the interest of making peace.
Are we sure he was? Or is that propaganda after the fact to make him less sympathetic?

I think we're more sure he wasn't. He did have some associations with members of the Aryan Nation but the guy lived in the middle of nowhere and just happened to be near the AN compound. He never joined or really showed any signs of being part of their movement. He just went to a fundamentalist church with some of them.

This thread was a great encapsulation of the Prog mindset. We saw many of the attributes.
- Don't agree with my ideology, you deserve to die
- Can't defend my illogical position after presented with a rational rebuttal, call you a racist bigot
- Continue to double down on irrational thought by virtue signaling and claiming moral superiority

It's also clear he has zero knowledge of Ruby Ridge nor has any interest in having a real discussion about it.
WTF dude. I have a family and a life away from this message board. Sounds like you need to get one too.
I'm over it, moving on.
And as for the "shitpost" comment...when in Rome....

That's unfortunate. Your kids don't have a chance based on your posting.

Gerry Spence closing words in Weaver's criminal trial. (And in his civil trial Spence called the government agents "Boys with toys.")
“Marshals aren’t supposed to shoot little boys in the back!”
“A little boy whose voice hadn’t even changed!”
“This is a man who has been the victim of a smear and had his wife and son killed. And I don’t want him hurt anymore.
“This is a murder case,” Spence said. “But the people who committed the murder have not been charged, and the people who committed the murder are not here in court.
“Randy Weaver was not a criminal,” Spence said. “He had no propensity to commit crimes. This is a man who never even had a traffic accident, never even had a traffic ticket. Never been charged with a crime of any kind and honorably served his country.
“I want to talk to you about. . . punishment. Randy Weaver would willingly go to the penitentiary for the rest of his life if he could have his boy back. Randy Weaver would go to the penitentiary for the rest of his life. . . if he could have Vicki back. Hasn’t he been punished enough? Doesn’t this terror and this horror have to end sometime? Shouldn’t it end with you, and shouldn’t it end without having to compromise? Shouldn’t this jury have the courage to stand up and say, ‘No, they overexercised their power.’ I ask you to do that.”
