I love how you are celebrating like this is a great thing.
being able to fully practice my first amendment rights on LSU's campus after it was limited before. Why would I not celebrate this.
At least before when I wasn't in the mood to be accosted I can just avoid that spot.
the new rules only has to do with flyer handouts it said nothing about public demonstrations, or yelling like people did in free speech alley. LSU can still stop people from preaching in the quad, because it is in a close enough distance of classrooms to possibly create a disturbance.
plus it mentions that the area immediately around middleton library is still of limits. (I guess they would consider this an area of study which would mean protests or flyer distribution would disrupt study.)
Now they can wait in ambush outside of any building waiting for classes to end.
you are overreacting to this and creating extremes, I doubt this will happen, plus you could voice your concern if people are preventing you from getting to your class in time because they are trying to hand you flyers.
all this sounds like from you is that you don't want to be inconvenienced by free speech on a public university. So you will limit someone's first amendment rights just to make your life easier.
