He recused himself, which opened the door to the SC. Trump has said he wouldn’t have appointed him had he known that.
We truly don’t know what the SC is up to. If Mueller is a black hat then I wonder if Sessions is complicit. There’s still hope that Sessions is a good man. There’s little doubt he is a bad AG.
What do you think the true story is with Sessions?

Sad to say, I think he was a man in search of a great job title = I WAS AG!!! WEEEEEE!
He should have never taken the job if his intent was to turn it over to a subordinate during the most critical attack on our constitutional form of governance in history.

Sessions is the biggest and most baffling disappoint for me. I thought he was going to be one of Trump's most solid picks. Originally, I hoped he would be Trump's VP. I'd like to believe he's secretly doing everything in the background to bring down Hillary and Obama... but realistically I think he's compromised (blackmailed, threatened, whatever).

Yeah - In the back of my mind, late at night, I tell myself that this just might be possible.
But in the raw daylight I have pretty much lost hope that he is anything but plain incompetence, in way over his head, paralyzed with indecision.

I think that when we continually hear tough talk on the part of legislators (Nunes, Gowdy, just to name a couple) yet rarely follow through with anything of substance, I think they are truly scared to death of the IC. I suspect Sessions, from his days in the Senate, is of the same ilk and probably has crap running deep and wide that he knows that if the IC wanted to, they could dig that up in a heartbeat. When your IC is corrupt like ours has demonstrated to be over and over, everyone with any authority is pretty much paralyzed with fear.

We can speculate all day long but the fact is based on anything discernible there’s no indication he is either competent or acting against the swamp scum.
There is a house of bullshite being built against Trump with another pile of slop added every day, all this back-patting over Manafort and zero to do with Trump on any of this garbage, and yet it goes on and on.
A mountain of evidence pointing to a real conspiracy to subvert the election process between Clinton, the DNC, Fusion/Simpson, top DOJ/FBI officials and others, and apparently nothing being done to either punish those involved or at least put it on the record officially for the public to see.
Based on the way it looks at this point anyway, history will judge this man poorly and deservedly so.

Mike Rogers met with Trump and laid out the whole mess, that week Trump nominates Sessions. They knew at that point Rosenstein was corrupt. They also knew he would want to appoint Mueller. Trump even met with Mueller right before he was appointed, Mueller probably bullshited his way through the conversation rather than being truthful,and Trump thought perfect, he will bring all the rats on board for us.....so said so done.
I believed Sessions was either inept or incompetent at first. But the continual public bashing by Trump is just trolling he would have fired him. That shat about the senate wont let him replace him, etc is just that bullshat. He fired a friggin black female who he knew would yell racist, and he did it anyway. He fired comey and he knew they would scream obstruction, and he did it anyway.
