Man it is tough with JBE and his crew running things. Every few days a new tax up for consideration.

Remember all the spending they have elected not to cut. Remember the special interest they are putting front of taxpayers.

But hookers and honor.

La republicans deserve every tax they get fricked with since they chose to ha e their wallets fricked instead of hookers.

Not until they spend ALL the money we pay on fuel taxes now for roads and bridges.

There was a 5 cent gas tax passed in the 80's when I was in the Senate. The democrats promised that it would all go to highway/road construction only. After I left office in '89, about 2 years later, the Democrats changed it in the DOTD bureaucracy to Democrat city buses, inner city projects, railroads in the inner cities, and State Police cars and gasoline. I would never trust the Democrats and Edwards again, never. Move all current gas tax to State roads first, then look at it.

Highly unlikely, but even it if does, it will never pass the house.

It's 8.5 cents for road improvements, the other 8.5 cents is basically "play" money for JBE to rule with.

Pretty positive the gas tax won't pass in the house.

IIRC Jeremy Alford hinted that it may be gaining traction in the house. I guess we will know soon enough.
