ummm I'm pretty sure they are a Christian Religious organization which makes this statement just flat out incorrect.

As for everything else on this topic, I've stopped trying to argue it. People on here either realize that there is a loud "substantial" minority of fundimentislist who are going nuts or think every single Islamic person deserves to die.

The later group likes to gloss over things like the world's most populace Islamic country banning the support of ISIS ( LINK) and the former group tends to gloss over the mass killings, but tries to show there is a difference between one and the other

Hell I knew a "fundamentalists" Islamic guy. He supported the "message" of ISIS, but said they are not Islamic. They way they were spreading "the word" was so against what he believed in, he was repulsed by it. And that was from a Muslim Brotherhood supporter.

I sure hope that doesn't dampen the enthusiasm for the sheople of this board who get off to shitting their pants in fear of these folks.

If John Kerry is wanting us in a war in the Middle East or if he thinks that our government should spend money to promote peaceful Islam, how does it change the reality of the situation to me or those being killed if it's some nefarious group telling him to do these things for an ulterior motive?
It doesn't change it one bit, if you continue to play along with the propaganda.

My issue is, you both (and now Carbola) are making stupid arguments by bringing up WBC.

If you read my posts on this board, i've been attacked for not falling for the anti-mulsim propaganda, and even the war on terror. I think it's all bullshite, and I'll go so far as to say I wouldn't be remotely surprised if the beheading videos were all fake and the ransom debacle was a botched inside job. There's just too much shadiness, war propaganda and odd timing with all of this for there not to be some mischief going on in the WH, Pentagon, Congress, etc.

But here are just three major problems with citing WBC:

1) Read their history. It's not some bastardization of Christianity, or radical offshoot, or malignant variant. Just read about them please.

2) I see you do understand order of magnitude, megatude, teratude, and yet still either don't see the total insignificance of WBC, from a numbers standpoint, or pretend not to. And consider the support ISIL has garnered, even in Europe--I defy you to find a single Christian who supports WBC, outside of the 40 members. LINK. Also, no one really knows how big ISIL/ISIS/TIS is/are, and even though i think the attention we're giving them is BS, I do believe they are growing. WBC will be the same inbred family it's always been.

3) Has WBC ever resorted to violence of any sort? Not only have they not resorted to violence, their whole scheme is based on pissing people off so bad with their words and signs that people smack them and get sued.

You may as well be comparing ISIL to the New Orleans Saints as to WBC, except the Saints have 13 more people on their active roster than WBC and admittedly aren't nearly as imposing as WBC this season.

My attitude has changed, I'm not arguing this any more.

And it won't change it one iota if I play along as well. Does about as much good as you calling people," sheeple" here or Michelle Obama's hashtag campaign or Obama's beer summits.

But the christians who literally follow:

"love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you"

and

"If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also."

are absolutely harmless.

But the muslims who literally follow:

quote:

“They desire that you should disbelieve as they have disbelieved, so that you might be (all) alike; therefore take not from among them (the unbelievers) friends until they flee (their homes) in Allah's way; but if they turn back, then seize them and KILL them wherever you find them, and take not from among them a friend or a helper.” (Sura 4, verse 89).

quote:

“And KILL them (the unbelievers) wherever you find them, and drive them out from whence they drove you out, and persecution is severer than slaughter, and do not fight with them at the Sacred Mosque until they fight with you in it, but if they do fight you, then slay them; such is the recompense of the unbelievers.” (Sura 2, verse 191).

are absolutely dangerous.

Of course it does. It enables it to continue.

Because my posts are the only ones that don't make a difference in world events.

You are sheople. You always will be sheople. And because of that, there will be very powerful people taking advantage of your ignorance for their profit.
It's that simple.

But go ahead and ignore that and just stick your head in the sand. It makes no difference. Right?

People are making merchandise of you believing the things you do, but you can't see it. Your cause is simply different from mine, not better or more noble.
But if it makes you feel special to think you are better than me, more enlightened than me or like one of the Gnostics of old, go ahead and continue to pat yourself on the back.

Why would you think I don't see it?
I get pissed off every time I fill my vehicle with gas.
But there's nothing I can do about it.
Collectively, however, WE could do a lot. And there lies my frustration. I know I can't depend on you to help. In fact, I'm confident, based on your posting history, you'll do the exact opposite of help.

I believe the constant calling other people," sheople" implies that you think you are better than those you define as sheep. And there has always been a group throughout history that thinks they hold some special knowledge that others don't, and it makes them feel special and superior. Congrats to you!

P.S. Your constant name calling isn't helping your campaign to wake people up.

I commiserate. It was a dark day when I realized my posts here apparently had no effect on world events. BUT! Sometimes in the dreamy darkness, my mind generates positive thought waves that spur our countrymen forward! Or maybe not.

Call your congresscritter instead of posting here if you really want to make some type of impact, however small it may be.

I believe those who get their jimmies rustled by the term "sheople" are most likely "sheople."

Have there always been a group throughout history that takes advantage of those who allow themselves to be taken advantage of?

On this board?

The vast majority of people who post on this board are among the most gullible, naive and ignorant I've ever come into contact with. It's what keeps me coming back here. I honestly cannot believe how stupid a human being can be.

It would be funny if not for the cost (to all of us) incurred from it.

How come the left has no problems promoting religious ideals if that region is Islam, but for others, they do everything possible to bridle them?

Hey, this is a message board. It's not connected to the Trilateral Board. Call your congresscritter. Become part of the vox populi.
