I down voted this because:

1. It is absolutely wrong and disgraceful to savage an American pilot who put his life on the line for this country and paid a price. Are you a military veteran or former prisoner of war? If not STFU and be respectful to a veteran and an American statesman.

2. You and many on this board have lost your minds about Russia and Trump's new BFF and global thug and KGB menace who is trying recreate the Soviet Union that Reagan and Gorbeschev dissolved that brought down the Iron Curtain. Putin and Russia are the number 1 threat to American strategic military interests, and it seems that Trump and almost all of you are blind to what McCain, Romney, the CIO, NSA, FBI, NATO, and the entire West understand. They have been and are the primary supplier and supporter of state sponsored Iranian terrorism, and yes they are advanced in cyber-terrorism.

3. Trump has the chance to do great things, but his flitation with Russia and his nepotism and conflicts of interest are two things that can take him down hard.

frick you. The harm that he causes to this country as a politician is by no means mitigated by his military service, and as an American, I have the right to vocalize my disapproval of his actions.

This is correct......just bc you served (I did for 20 yrs) or were a combat pilot/hero doesn't give a you a lifetime pass to do what you want without being questioned about it.

McCain is a traitorous piece of garbage. I don't care what the Viet Cong did to his ballsack.

Give him his VA benefits and get him the hell out of politics.

he chose to be a public person and politician. he doesn't get carte blanche to act like an evil, greedy psychopath because he was a soldier and terrible things happened to him as a result of that. he's not just some average soldier that i'm calling out publicly. he's a US Senator (and the worst national politician in the US)

you're unhinged

i'll give you all of that. what do you want to do? create a legit world war like McCain?

great plan. can't wait to see how that works out

Our country is damn near an island. If enemies reach out mainland, it's b/c you guys allowed them to come in.

EMP attacks, cyber, etc of course those are threats. But it goes both ways. There are other ways to handle things than starting war after war.

Let me ask you a question. Are you a veteran? If so, where did you fight? I don't agree with everything about McCain's politics, but you appear to be a hypocrite who enjoys our freedom of speech that guys like McCain and my father and uncle fought for, so I take exception to calling Soldiers, Marines, and Airmen douches. Secondly, what excactly has McCain done to harm the US?

I agree. However, I respect your 20 years enough to not call you a douche.

Yes, McCain fought for my freedom of speech in Vietnam. Jesus, man. You don't sound too smart.

What does this matter? If I'm not a veteran, I'm not entitled to a voice in respect of how this country is governed? You do realize that our country was intentionally founded with a system of civilian control over the military, right?

Seems like you are the one unhinging with your post. I don't agree with everything that MCain has done or his a politics as a whole, but to call him the worst one in the US. Why? Secondly, I am in the minority here, but cyber -terrorism from the Russians is a big issue (not the election), but in ripping off personal data (I had Russian hackers steal my families personal information), and the threat to our power, military, and telecom infrastructure are real issues. I think he and Graham have guts to go against the grain and review what really happened.

Almost...

I pulled the lever for EWE when he ran against Duke in '91. Only time in my life that I literally felt sick to my stomach when voting.
