Nah, one is satisfactory, especially when you have a 100 yard deep mine field in front of it!
Hell yeah...even better...imagine the fricking pork it will take to make enough mines to build a 100 yard wide X 2000 mile long mine field....that is much better. I knew there was a reason the national debt increased so much with Republicans in office...it is genius thinking like this...frick 3 walls...one wall and a 100 yard X 2000 mile mine field...now that is some serious pork!!!

Unless it's the Mexicans themselves, there's no way in hell its going to be as low as he's saying.
Unless a Mexican firm is contracted. Which would not only insult Mexicans, but Americans as well.

Contractor mentality. But new 90K pick up, go in debt, don't pay bills, never pay taxes, build stuff, poorly usually.
And make a 6 figure salary for the 23dr year in a row!!!!
Nothing like some pork to make the heart go pitter pat!!! I get hard quicker at my age at the thought of a big old fat pork laden contract than I do at the thought of two 20 something hard bodies dedicated to making me happy!!!
What I really hope is they rush this project....the change orders alone will be worth a sizeable fortune to some lucky bastards!!! Personally I like that 60% design draw....that fricker is almost embarassing :nana: :nana: :nana:

Typical. I make a huge salary. I'm a contractor. I don't understand that I put myself into debt, and probably won't pay it back to make my salary, but i'm a contractor. Low bid Trump's making money. I bid out my attorney, insurance guy, accountant. I don't realize competent people aren't the cheapest, because, because, Low bid! Spend money, don't pay taxes. Buy more big rigger pick up truck. Vote democrat. Contractor!
You must be a real treat. Liberal and a contractor.

Once again, your ignorance is astonishing. The US already has a stockpile of over 3 million landmines, bought and paid for and no longer used by the military.
quote:
As part of the June policy announcement the Pentagon has disclosed that the US has an “active stockpile of just over 3 million anti-personnel mines in the inventory.” This represents a significant reduction from the previous total reported in 2002 of approximately 10.4 million antipersonnel mines.
quote:
Under the new policy, all US stockpiles of weapons containing antipersonnel mines as well as munitions containing a mix of both antipersonnel and antivehicle mines that are not required for Korea will need be removed from stocks located in the US, on supply ships, and in storage facilities overseas, then transported to a destruction facility.

Don't know why but this made me laugh.

The great boondoggle of our time. Can't wait to see how the Feds force the landowners into allowing a wall to run through

They don't have to dipshit. The government annexed a 60 foot strip of land on the US side in 1907. It's called the Roosevelt Reservation.

I think industry will come back with some good bids. I have a lot of experience on the technology side of Government acquisition.

I am even worse than that...I am a consultant
I got out of the contracting racket when I realized I was the bagman for employees and wholesalers...the money that I was making then was a result of knowledge and experience but I wasn't able to sale that as efficiently because I was dealing with employees and vendors and subs and customers who wouldn't or couldn't pay on time. Now I don't have any of those headaches....I get a call, talk about a project, and get paid...and it is ALL MINE....there ain't no employees standing around Thursday at lunch time waiting on a check and their ain't any vendors calling wanting their end....
The kinds of contractors you are talking about won't be bidding on the wall my friend...they won't have access to the kind of bonding that will be required. I agree with your opinion of the guy with a truck and magnetic sign on the door....but I never met one who was a Democrat.....the only democrats I ever met who were in business in my industry were contractors who had been in business for a pretty long time, had a couple of hundred employees including a full support staff of clerical folks, project managers, engineers...maybe even an architect or two...(an architect is an engineer who took art appreciation). The construction industry is usually somewhere in the top 5 industries in revenue every year in the United States...you don't build nuclear power plants and airports and auto manufacturing facilities out of the back of a pick up truck and skirt paying taxes etc but there are a lot of small contractors who do just that.
I did know one General years ago, from New Orleans but had an office in Houston, who bids on EVERY Federal project that came out for bid...makes no difference what size or where it is this guy bids on it.....he is usually always EXTREMELY high on most projects but he gets one every once in a while. He files bankruptcy every couple of years and starts up under another name...and, somehow, manages to do this while maintaining an almost unlimited amount of bonding capacity. We did a bunch of projects together in the research triangle area back in the late 90's...made loads of money. This guy is a one man show...has no employees, no tools....he didn't even own a Truck but when he does happen to show up on a job site, which isn't often, he was always in a german made convertible...never the same one twice that I remember but again he doesn't do business in person often.
About a year after 9/11 this guy calls me and asks me how I feel about working overseas....to which I of course am very amicable...like I said I am like the guy who robs banks when asked why I like to work for the Department of Defense...'cause thats where the money is....so this guy is gearing up to get as much of y'alls money as he can get supporting the war effort in the middle east...and I gotta tell you, you guys really went over the top...there was (and still is) so much money to be made that it is, literally, embarassing...at least to folks like me who are cursed with even a modicum of a conscience...but old boy? He has never mentioned being embarassed in the least...and this guy LOVES him some TRUMP....and he loved him some Bush also...was kind of indifferent with Obama...not really hating him but not enamored with him either because the money Obama was spending wasn't something he could get his beak in...but Bush??? Honey hush...hell he and I along with about 2000 other patriots went to a week long conference in Las Vegas in 2002 which was put on by defense contractors recruiting specialty contractors who were willing to go overseas and help with the war effort!!! I will guarantee all of you that I was probably the only democrat in that room that week!!! The conference cost $9K....but oh my god the return that $9K paid....the only better investment I ever made was when one of my employees spent $1900 one night entertaining two guys from a Metro Atlanta County SPLOST Management firm....both, by the way, staunch Republicans....that $1900 turned into one of the most lucrative friendships I have ever had or dreamed of....in fact it was that night which made it possible for me to sale my contracting business and retire to Europe in 2007...a retirement that lasted about 4 months before they drug me back in with wads pork!!!

even better...those will have to be maintained and updated and they will wind up costing more than buying new ones....you seem to think that just because the head honcho has changed that an entrenched bureaucracy is going to change its stripes. The people who will design and build the wall are the problem my friend....not the president who wants it or his supporters...when they get done the damn thing will be so over budget and will have so many bells and whistles calling it a wall will be an insult to walls. Trump and company can talk about efficiencies all they want to and how great a negotiator he is but I will promise you that the A&E firms he deals with are experts at making folks think they are getting a deal...you can rest assured that some smart retired general is even now in talks with someone somewhere about a way to improve those 3 million land mines...
And, by the way, doubling the distance between land mines in a field the size you are suggesting would take about $18 Billion worth of mines at current values...with your 3 Million already in our possession that would mean we would only need about $16.5 Billion more!!!!! Lets say that Trump is the master negotiator he is and he cuts that by half that is still $8 Billion worth of PORK my friend.....and we all love our pork!!!

Dude I have always cared about government spending...and how I could get more of it!!!! There is a lot of money to be made in fear...loads....and y'all are way to easy to part with your cash if you think someone is going to getcha!!! Since 2002 there has been hydrant with not check valve on it all all running in the middle east gushing tax payer money.....don't blame me for doing what I can to mop up that mess....blame yourself for being skeered of your own shadow...and now the brown hoardes are just at the southern border....and we gotta be skeered again!!!
Again....I love the fact that you people are scared someone is going to get you....it means I can make a damn good living finding ways to alleviate your fears. I would prefer building houses and schools and factories but like Willie Sutton said banks are where the money is....in my case fear is where the money is....and brother bidness is booming and has been for years!!!
