What? Are you talking about supplemental cancer insurance? You just said you wan't to remove your family from health insurance completely and now you are saying you'd keep cancer insurance?

Do you know why those supplemental insurance policies are so cheap? Because they are secondary insurance and your primary is what picks up most of the expenses.

No I'm not talking about supplemental insurance. You can get policies that just cover catastrophic events. You know, actual insurance policies. Or at least, you used to be able to. I am looking forward to this being a possibility again.

Good luck if you get cancer. No way your HSA would be big enough to cover even a 1/10 of the expenses you'd incur.

That's what actual insurance is for.

List 1 policy that you vocally opposed Obama on.

If Obama had wanted this bill passed, the Dems would have voted in lock-step for it.

So you say they can write a health bill where none of us will ever die?

Fat chance. Get closer to your creator, and quit worrying about it

You're just being an idiot. The purpose of insurance is not immortality your dolt. It's to keep you from dying at 35 from a treatable form of cancer, etc.

FatKid said he wishes he didn't have insurance and could just pay for all expenses out of an HSA. I just pointed out that his plan would work unless he had a catastrophic illness which would cost more than his HSA had in it and then he would either be bankrupt or dead.

The ideal system is catastrophic insurance and cash payments for routine healthcare

I'm guessing you never had insurance prior to Obamacare.

You said "I'd be better off removing my family from health insurance completely and just using an HSA to pay for expenses". I took you at your word. Now you are wanting just a catastrophic event policy. That's a different argument and one we agree.

I think catastrophic policies where you have an HSA to pay for routine stuff is what most people under 30 should have unless they have major family histories of illness.

Well I'm 35 and this would be far cheaper for my family.

You need to learn facts

Vast amounts of health care funds are spent on keeping people alive, that have ceased being able to perform everyday activities

That's why you had all the talk about 'death panels', because at some point an insurer is going to say "no more". Yet hundreds of thousands will have been spent up to that point

Agreed. It's all most younger adults need. Insurance should be available so you don't go bankrupt from an major illness not to keep you from having to come out of pocket when you have an ear infection.

I've had health insurance coverage from the time I was born to answer your other question.

Since Jug ears gave the insurance companies carte blanche with his wealth redistribution bill I'm paying $2,743 more per year for insurance, my deductible rose from $500 to $3,500. and so far the only thing the insurance company has NOT denied coverage for is routine office visits.

Obama Care is a massive dildo shoved up the asses of hard working middle class Americans all for the sake of paying off the insurance lobby and to appease the degenerate class of free loaders in this country.

And guess what, if you've not been negatively effected by this POS legislation they you're part of the degenerate class of free loaders in this country.

You are 100% correct but I'm not sure how that is relevant at all to this thread. You do realize that large percentage of cancer patients aren't old people don't you?

Wrong wrong wrong. My family's Health Insurance has gone down the past two years. And I have Multiple Sclerosis. We both have excellent jobs so you're dead wrong on that. Yes, it has increased for some people as part of the adjustment from undercharging people. But maybe you need to look for a better job? But good job generalizing everyone.

Help me out here. Tell me it's something other than sycophants wanting "a win" for their guy. It's either that, or you are actually OK with the establishment you supposedly elected Trump to defeat.
It's both.
