Since when do we want Washington DC to DO SOMETHING, not giving a shite what that SOMETHING is?

We derided John McCain, Graham, Boehner, and all the rest of the cuckstablishment for trying to get things done for the sake of getting something done. Now, we want Paul fricking Ryan to pass what we all know to be terrible legislation? You know damn well that there won't be a "phase 2" or 3.

We as a board also derided giant bills that threw everything and the kitchen sink into one bill. Omnibus spending, "comprehensive XYZ" et al were enough to make this board spit fire. Now, that's exactly what we want?

Help me out here. Tell me it's something other than sycophants wanting "a win" for their guy. It's either that, or you are actually OK with the establishment you supposedly elected Trump to defeat.

Not sure why they can't just repeal for now.

If it removed the requirement to purchase health insurance, then it was a better bill than what we have now.

Good luck getting anything else passed.

I believe they would need 60 Senate votes to do this.

Actually no, if that's all it does, then it's a worse bill because it keeps more healthy people out of the risk pools

Don't care. Let the current health insurance model die. I'd be better off removing my family from health insurance completely and just using an HSA to pay for expenses than I am with health insurance the way it currently is.

The current health insurance model doesn't die until it's not tied to employment.

Good luck if you get cancer. No way your HSA would be big enough to cover even a 1/10 of the expenses you'd incur.

Agreed. That requirement should also be removed. If companies want to offer health insurance, fine. If not, fine.

Cancer insurance is pretty dang cheap. Don't be foolish.

Not really. It doesn't work unless you force people to buy it. Not that it really works great, but it would be even worse without forcing people to pay.

So you say they can write a health bill where none of us will ever die?

Fat chance. Get closer to your creator, and quit worrying about it

What? Are you talking about supplemental cancer insurance? You just said you wan't to remove your family from health insurance completely and now you are saying you'd keep cancer insurance?

Do you know why those supplemental insurance policies are so cheap? Because they are secondary insurance and your primary is what picks up most of the expenses.

Thank you. I hate when gun control fanatics are like "we have to try anything to stop it, just something". Seriously, screw those people that propose bad legislation for the sake of "doing something" and screw the people willing to throw away their principles for Trumpism.

Trump seems to be plenty angry that this "bad bill" didn't pass. What's the matter with him?
