The Castros were dictators in a country 90 miles away for decades. Where was the call for military intervention in Cuba to topple Castro. Would have been a quick and easy war. Only 90 miles away.

Use to participate in a chaplains group and we had the inevitable prayers for Israel, fine. I asked why we never prayed for others in the ME with as much fervor, are they not in need of the news of the gospel....crickets, unfortunately. Interestingly Muslims are converting to Christianity in fairly healthy numbers. My sense is most in the ME just want to raise their families, live a decent life and call it good

Have you seen the massive Palestinian refugee camp jist outside of Amman?
If you ever visited that location, or knew anything... at all... about Jordan, you would know why a 40 year old Jordanian might say that.
Of course, that has nothing to do with how people felt about Palestinians historically. Palestinians and Jordanians and Lebanese share a culture that is very very similar. There was almost no major distinguishing characteristic between them until the refugee crisis.

I just got a merry Christmas text from a Palestinian Christian friend whose entire family's life savings were destroyed by anti arab policies in Israel.
Thankfully they had enough to move to the US and start a small business. Not all these Christians escape the wrath of the Israeli government.
