What makes you think they're all on welfare?

What is your solution when some of these folks don't have the documentation that says they are who they say they are that they need to obtain a free ID?

If getting a ID is such a problem why is there no outcry over being required to have a photo ID to Fly, drive, buy tobacco, beer, firearms, enroll your children in school, rent an apartment, receive government assistance in many states, receive medical care, receive prescription drugs in some places, etc.

It is very simple.

If I walk into Academy today to exercise my 2nd Amendment right (purchase a firearm), I MUST show ID.

Therefore, to be allowed to handle something at lease as important (the franchise), people cannot complain they have to show ID to vote.

Because ignorant guilty white people, like you, think black people are too stupid/lazy to have an ID.

I'm thinking of Holder's 'nation of cowards' comment and that it really applys to dems that dare not discuss this aspect.

Because you hate black people and don't want them to have ID's.

No doubt. It's basically saying that a faction of potential voters are either too stupid or lazy to get an ID or disadvantaged which is a load of horse shite. Objectively if you are so disadvantaged that have no reason to get a drivers license or some form of ID, then clearing you don't have the means to make an educated choice at the polls and should be working on other personal priorities anyway. Dems herding people to be voting for the sake of voting for their candidates with little or no knowledge of the issues is definitely not helpful to our nation.

We are rapidly approaching a tipping point in which the unproductive majority are setting the direction of our nation. Romney was dead on in his comment about the 47%. The Dems know that all they need to do is appeal to that unproductive, government dependent 47% and elections are all but won.

Last time I checked, mostly poor people used welfare.

" Clinton-appointed federal judge has struck down Wisconsin’s photo identification law because he believes it discriminates against poor "

"Opponents argue that voter ID laws are thinly veiled attempts at vote suppression, modern-day poll taxes that disenfranchise the poor, the young, and minority voters—not incidentally, people who tend to skew Democratic."

And what if they can't because there is none? There are a lot of elderly people in this country currently that have no birth certificate. Obviously this won't be as big of an issue in 10-20 years, but right now it is. I don't have a problem with requiring voters to show an ID to vote, but I don't favor any law that makes it difficult for someone to obtain an ID to meet that requirement. I also think we should be making laws that make it easier for people to vote.

So tell me if these people have no documentation, how do they register to vote in the first place?

And I have no problem with making it easier to vote. Early voting, easy access to places to register, and easy access to polling places is great.

But the integrity of the ballot box is important. Just letting people in line sign something doesn't seem like it insures anything.

Not to Dems if it means more votes for them.

This is really all it boils down to. All the faux outrage is about winning at any cost to them.

Illegal alien? Felon? Dead? No problem, we want your vote.

Agreed.

This babying of minority cultures is what's causing the problem to become exponentially worse.

How do minorities acquire food stamps? Welfare? Driver's license? Can you just show up and collect that at random? Or do you need.......identification?

The real question is why are people who tend to skew Democratic somehow unable to obtain a form of identification?

Shouldn't we want them to obtain identification? Shouldn't we use this as a means to encourage people to get proper identification if they don't currently have it?

I don't understand how anyone can be against voter ID requirements unless you somehow benefit from voter fraud.
