Yes it is incredibly racist

It impacts tons of people ranging from low income minorities to old white folks. It's just a bad idea all around and just another way to disenfranchise voters.

Income is irrelevant. The ID's are free in most cases.

Things like this. Just Google "voter fraud". You'll spend all day reading stories.

You seriously need to look up the word "racist".

Either that or flip your iPhone video setting to selfie.

Cheating is more rampant in election fraud, and both sides are guilty as hell in that. Wonder why republicans aren't pushing laws to address those issues?
I'm going to use the typical liberal defense.

Prove it!

You think people are too poor, ignorant or lazy to get an ID. You are a racist. Sorry to break it to you.

Saying minorities are so incompetent that they can't even do a task as simple as going to vote, or obtaining an ID.
so why did you say it?

The actual argument is that minorities, in factual reality, tend to not have proper ID at higher rates than whites - and that the R's know this - so their motivation is clearly to disenfranchise minorities, since they vote mostly D. This is reinforced by the actual statements of Republicans.

But I know it would burn too many brain cells for you to argue against facts, so go ahead and just make up whatever arguments you want for the D's and argue against that.

when you say "this disproportionately affects minorities", it is an objective statement

defending this policy implies racism, however, because you're saying that minorities need help in their voting behaviors

it's also age-ist or whatever the catchphrase for discrimination based on age is these days

It is just another example of lowering standards.

T register to vote you need to prove who you are, you need to prove your age, and you need to establish where you live.

But somehow it's bad that when you actually go to the polls to vote you have to prove who you are. That makes no sense.

liberals do, though, when they create the main argument against voter ID laws

do you support voter ID laws? if not, why not?

Because it's the Dems main reason for opposing voter ID laws.

Please explain the reasons people "can't get an ID" without insinuating that they're too stupid or lazy.

Is that what you're bringing? No way to refute what I just said because you know it's true?

In other words, what we're saying here is that democrats are racists.

Not really. Most voter ID laws allow a voter to sign an affidavit saying who they are. So the law actually doesn't do anything to stop those willing to commit voter fraud - since clearly anyone willing to commit voter fraud would have no problem signing a false affidavit. So their only purpose is to intimidate voters who don't have the right ID.
