Most lawyers, sales people, Benny Hinn, Hitler, real estate agents, and pharmaceutical reps are all on the same tier of sleaze as politicians. Benny Hinn may take the sleaze trophy on this one.

I think journalists have passed up politicians but its the political appointees within the intelligence community that are leaving everyone in the dust.

Exactly true, used to be a person came to Washington served maybe 3 terms, and went home.

Your town may be the exception but lots of small town Sheriff's and judges are incredibly corrupt. Of course its not too tough to walk on the sunny side of the street when it comes to the good ole boy system.

Yesterday's news: staunchly anti-gay GOP congressman caught soliciting gay sex in a public mens room.

These politicians that use identity politics strategies are slimier than others. They are on both sides.
They look at Bubba and tell him stuff about gun rights and bible verses and how he is a victim of liberals and his way of life is going away unless he supports the right politicians. Same groups suck up to the lobbyists that are screwing Bubba.
On the other side they liberals will say "You are a (fill in the blank--woman, black, hispanic, queer, transexual, short person, fat person, skinny person ect) and I am going to give you more money."

This is true. I went to small claims court a few years ago. I was 10th on the docket. The first 9 cases were pay day loan companies suing customers for non payment. None of the customers showed up. But the problem is trying to collect after you win the case. They deal with the dregs of society who cannot get a 90 day note from a bank.
