I follow a ton of foreign policy/military folks and I'm not seeing this like you are.

Follow the actual folks on the ground because you typically see real time what is going on without the PR campaign clouding the public's vision.

The imbedded reporters and various twitter feeds of ISIS, FSA, YPG, and others give you real time news with actual photographic evidence so you can decipher what is true/false/propaganda.

Looks like they found the Chemical weapons stockpile a few weeks ago.

If they told me once, they told me a million times, "Bush lied, people died" - they even have Republicans like Colin Powell denying WMDs in Iraq.

Ben Wedeman from CNN. Check his twitter feed. Lovely--CNN now reporting that ISIS got hold of Sarin Gas Rockets.
I have been told, for more than a decade, that there were no chemical weapons in Iraq, and that it was the Syrian government who used them against rebels. So how is ISIS getting them? Was I possibly misinformed all this time?

The reason that Apaches are now in action is because the Green Zone is under attack and the US is very worried that the place will be overrun. Only way to keep ISIS at bay right now while we evacuate the international community out of there.

In other words prepare for Baghdad to go down because this is not an offensive move but more of a defensive move by our military.

A. He didn't say that.

B. You're not denying that Iraq had a nuclear weapons program, at least at some time between the 1980s and the invasion in 2003, regardless of how defunct you might want to argue that it was, are you?

You guys are going to (possibly, literally) die on that hill aren't you? It's like a dog whistle.

I don't really blame you - heck, even Republicans argue this nonsense. Iraq DEMONSTRABLY had a robust WMD program. Post hoc we discovered that sanctions and effects of war had degraded it significantly, but Saddam's efforts to thwart inspections, as well as international intelligence "consensus" certainly painted a different picture in 2002/2003.

Did the administration argue their case too strongly? Yes. ALL advocates/lawyers do this too. It was because they thought they were right.

Lets not make this something that it is not.

Very well said. It's as if some people find it more important to be right than to do what is our nations best interest. Weird.

We are witnessing the fall of Saigon. The only difference is that they're building another Ho Chi Mihn trail right here in America. This war will be fought not on the frontier or on some distant battlefield, but amongst us -- among our homes. Our children will learn of it with their own eyes. And the innocent will die with the rest of us.

BAGHDAD, Iraq – A roadside bomb containing sarin nerve agent (search) recently exploded near a U.S. military convoy, the U.S. military said Monday.

Bush administration officials told Fox News that mustard gas (search) was also recently discovered.

Two people were treated for "minor exposure" after the sarin incident but no serious injuries were reported. Soldiers transporting the shell for inspection suffered symptoms consistent with low-level chemical exposure, which is what led to the discovery, a U.S. official told Fox News.

"The Iraqi Survey Group confirmed today that a 155-millimeter artillery round containing sarin nerve agent had been found," Brig. Gen. Mark Kimmitt (search), the chief military spokesman in Iraq, told reporters in Baghdad. "The round had been rigged as an IED (improvised explosive device) which was discovered by a U.S. force convoy."

The round detonated before it would be rendered inoperable, Kimmitt said, which caused a "very small dispersal of agent."

However, Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld said the results were from a field test, which can be imperfect, and said more analysis was needed. If confirmed, it would be the first finding of a banned weapon upon which the United States based its case for war.

A senior Bush administration official told Fox News that the sarin gas shell is the second chemical weapon discovered recently.

Dozens of mortar rounds believed to be armed with mustard gas have been discovered buried in Iraq, Danish troops said yesterday.
If confirmed, the find will be the first discovery of chemical munitions in Iraq by coalition forces scouring the country for the weapons of mass destruction used as justification for the US-led invasion.

'All the instruments showed indications of the same type of chemical compound, namely blister gas,' the Danish Army said in a statement on its website. Final test results will be announced within two days
