lol...I don't think you're kidding.

I think you're a joke. Growing up in Philly, I had plenty of chances to whoop on fake arse NY punks.

who knew I'd get lucky again after moving south :)

DS, for goodness sakes, you know that line is not going anywhere. Come on!

You may not realize it, but you got badly treated on page two.
Really badly.

Address that.

It's a debate forum. The essence of irony in your physical insinuations is you're taking the proverbial knife to a gunfight. You had to know that. Right?

Way beneath you, DS . . . . at least IMO.

You needing to get your arse best isnt me advocating violence.

I find people who have never lost a fight, I've lost plenty, have no idea about sports in the first place, or understanding the other side of the argument in the second.

Thanks for proving my point correct. You grew up in a sheltered little bubble, have never faced real adversity, and have no idea about the topics you discuss....aside from the feelings and glib comments you parrot from the propaganda box.

I actually feel bad for you man.

Though I understand where you're coming from, I don't understand where this argument is going, at either end.

So like, uh, what was figured out by this thread?

Athletes are indeed over paid, I think most people agree that's the case.

How is this a left vs right thing?

athletes arent over paid...they are paid exactly what someone is willing to pay them to do their job.

No, some are grossly overpaid. This isn't like a free market thing. (There's complexities and different things to be discussed under the umbrella of this topic, non of which I really feel like wasting my time on right now).

25-30 million a year is too much.

How is 25-30 million too much if the company he works for makes a profit directly related to his services??

Apparently you missed the term 'some'.

I'm perfectly aware that most don't make anything near that, which is actually a part of one of the complexities to this issue that I left unmentioned.

You need to realize that baseball players have the strongest union. That is why they are the highest paid pro athletes. NFL athletes have the weakest union and yet they play in the more popular sport now and get paid less than baseball players.

It's about unions and the value that baseball players place in their union. As a leftist I applaud the high salaries of MLB players due to their union.

nah, i'm laughing my arse off over here. I'm going to keep giving our hero as much rope to hang himself as possible, then i will just have to link to this thread in the future to completely discredit anything he has to say on any subject.
