People thinking Bernie will get destroyed by Trump need to explain this.

Agree.

Socialism now or never. Let America decide the path instead of this inching every year toward more progressive.

And that's how they get the "progress" they so desire.

By just changing things little by little so that radical shite starts looking commonplace. "Oh...we all have to register to be committed to a mental hospital at the government's discretion...strange, just two years ago we had to submit names of family members we thought may be threat to themselves or society."

I want the radical sonofabitch now. If he fails miserably maybe it will begin a decline in the more progressive bullshite each year.

BVernie has never gone through any vetting. It is very possible a brutal gop ad campaign against him will sink his numbers badly.

People don't know what he is all about yet.

mondale and mcgovern were pretty close vs reagan until the General election campaign started and people began to research who they were.

You could be right, but he has been pretty consistent with his message. Also he’s going to be banging that corporate socialism for the rich line endlessly when he becomes the nominee.

He very well could win, but there is a reason many downballot dems are very worried.

he will be under intense scrutiny during general election, and while he does know how to rally his base, he also gives plenty of fodder to his enemies.

It’s going to have be something no one sees coming. I am just not sure the socialism attacks will land with him. Republicans have been calling every dem nominee a socialist for years. The word means nothing anymore.

I feel like Bernie and AOC are merely actors trying to normalize radical ideology

They are sacrificial lambs for the real dem socialist candidate that emerges in 2024

Trump won't call him a socialist. He'll call him what he is.

A communist.

You think the Clintons didn't do opposition research on him?

That will be a huge mistake. FDR would make Bernie look like a Republican and he was elected 4 times with ease.

I’m sure they did, but they also didn’t think they had to campaign against Bernie to beat him. Also, they wouldn’t want to attack him being a communist because doing so would alienate all the communists in the party.

A republican won’t have that problem.

He couldn't jump quite that far at the time but they did completely take over many industries, directing them in what and how many to make.

The War Production Board.

He had communists in his cabinet that Bill Knudsen had to battle daily.

eta-He also commissioned a plan to merge and reorganize all of the railroads into 8 megarailroads.

Most Americans don’t realize how close we came to a dictatorship under Lincoln and socialism under FDR

We have a once in three generations shot to fricking own the left like we’ve never owned them before.

Trump over 365 electoral votes, a 7-2 Supreme Court lead and control of both Chambers is possible if Bernie is nominee.

Let’s do this!

FDR was constantly branded as a socialist/communist...
