It is disheartening to see this in Ames but their lib college town political climate would dictate its inevitability (as others have said).
Now Ankeny would surprise me because that would be a sign of a new frontier of white guilt reaching conservative enclaves.
It's always interesting when 90-percent white places are the easiest to fall for white liberal guilt. At one time, these folks would shite bricks if a black family moved onto their block, but there are more people willing to commit cultural suicide and deal with the crime and social disorder that follows.
Which brings me to Nacogdoches, Texas, and Commerce, Texas, other liberal environments fueled by a college. Surprising for East Texas, huh?
Those white people are true believers, though, and are pretty much operatives of the Democrat Party trying to turn Texas blue and are willing to deal with the crime and disorder that mixed demographics brings.

High School students are so brainwashed in today's society and so easily led by the boob-tube fake news.

Indeed, Bye Bye Miss American (Pie). This will be the day (that our culture) dies.

And liberals continue teaching kids that they don't have to do anything they don't want to. The Participation Trophy Generation continues. God help us if we ever have to defend our country against a foreign invader or want our boys to actually turn into men.

When McKinley played Catholic High Baton Rouge's Freshman team, many on McKinley's team kneeled and many of the parents sat. It made me sad to see the students kneeling and angry to see the parents sitting.

Not really. Their stadium was packed for the final home game.

You either: a) are a liar,
b) have never been
to a HS sports
event,
c) have erased your
memory through
use of drugs
You look sad in each case.
Also went far in track and field but don't remember one, but those are all day events.

All federal funding should be cut off - the school should not even want money from so corrupt an institution as the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

Sounds to me like a school needs to have any federal funding yanked.

You must've been in school during the late 60's...lot's of folks don't remember too much of that time.

Really? Always did at mine in the 80s and still does now at my kids’ school. As a matter of factt, before the basketball games, a black cheerleader with a remarkable voice sings it and the crowd (vastly majority black) stands. It’s refreshing to know not all of America has lost it’s mind.
