Their explanation basically looks at the national anthem as "political". Is the left finally winning this part of the "nationalism" war?
It's hard for me to ever believe that a leftist has any sense of national pride. They've already declared that an act of hate and declared standing for the national anthem an act of perpetuating racism.
What's next? Refusing to show passports because it has the U.S. seal on it?

My children and I were walking though the parking lot into the HS game Friday night when the anthem was playing. It was great to see everyone STOP, remove their cap, and place their hand over their heart and show respect to the freedoms allowed by our present and past soldiers who sacrifice so much for this Country. One guy got out of his car to stand and do the same. This is in the freakin parking lot including all children as well.

I work visitors side gate at our local HS football game. EVERYTHING comes to complete stop when the National Anthem is played, as well as, when the pre-game prayer is said. Ticket sales are suspended until both are done.
We have 100% participation.
No one ever complains.

No. They are winning some "battles" like...

We are at the point where if you show pride in your country, you are a racist or white supremacist, or whatever their buzzword of the week is.
We will see if this all sticks soon enough. My guess is "no".
