How do you respond to this Silicon Valley liberal's tweet about rural Americans?

Michael Moore said the same thing. Safe spaces is why Hillary lost.

Mostly true but theres a few things with that (I view that second half as sarcasm btw)

Rural America gets exposure (albeit warped) to urban america through their TV set every day of the year.
They also visit the city for vacation business etc. Silicon valley doesnt go to Mississippi.

It's sarcasm. HE'S saying silicon Valley isn't as much of a bubble as rural areas.

Tell him America just spoke and said: take your leftist socialist agenda and stick it up your stinking liberal arse, jackass.

Have to say first, that i enjoy this thought provoking thread idea...


Now to answer.

The easiest answer is to say that if they had consulted a broad cross section of Americans then them and all the polls and so called experts wouldnt have been so surprised by an epic win by Trump that pierced the so called Blue wall.

Furthermore, i question what they consider to be "broad" in their cross section of consulting. I am going to guess this is a cross section of different races who live in Silicon Valley indians, asians, and white men, + a few etcs? Either way this is a cross section of races within socioeconomics which really means nothing. Second of all this is anything but representative of a greater heterogeneous America. They also live in a bubble, like the farmers. Bubbles arent just color of skin, but regional and socioeconomic.

The rural bubble seems much larger in terms of area than the big city bubble, at least according to this graphic. No wonder the folks in the gray areas were fed up of Washington and wanted to blow things up in Washington because they felt disenfranchised.

Living in this way overrated place known as Silicon Valley, it lives in a bubble because no one genuinely cares about their neighbor here, much less someone living in rural America.
