Because I've done a fair bit of reading the history of that period.

I honestly believe that the desecration of the graves of Confederate soldiers will be next once the current purge is complete.

The only reason Ive been posting is to state that I can understand the sentiment from say, the descendant of a murdered slave. Its a public space.

Where...does...it...end?

Well that is the million dollar question. Retard SJWs will no doubt attempt to push it too far. There will be pushback. I hope we land on something reasonable but, the way things are going, Im pretty sure thats a fools errand.

This is a statue (in MO) of a Democrat (modern era) who ordered the unnecessary melting of over a quarter million innocent civilians
What? He melted people? That's fricked up.

What would be a case of "necessary melting," by the way?

Just the name puts the White House on the list. Also all the American railroads will need to be torn up since they were built with the exploited labor of Asians.

It's interesting that anti-Nazi protesters are taking down statues of Robert E. Lee but I have yet to hear of one statue of Charles Lindbergh being taken down.

You're right, my post works under the assumption that these museums will be put in statues because most viewpoints Ive heard point to museums being their final destination. The OP seems to work under the opposite assumption that they will be straight vaporized.

He's probably right and he probably understands New Orleans politics better than you who hails from the Wiregrass where they put toilet paper in the trees.

Here is how it works, Landrieu says he wants to sell the statues. But he puts a condition on the sale of the statues like it has to go to a non profit entity wherein they pledge that it will not be placed outside in public view.

Next he places a price on the statues that is quite high....he needs the money and he will say it is to make up for the police and fire OT used in the removal.

Right now the statues are "siting" in an unclaimed auto yard in New Orleans East off Chef Hwy . The area is a real shithole. How much you wanna bet that those statues get "lost" over time or destroyed " inadvertantly? Right now Metairie Cemetery in New Orleans wants to put ole PGT ( NOLA) at the Confederate veterans tomb, but so far no movement on that because, you know .....procedures.

Mitch Landrieu or the next administration will never allow those statues out of that impound lot unless it gets "stolen" from said lot. That's how it works down here

They were not "exploited". they voluntarily came and more than a few made some good money doing it
