Imagine if you were running for office and someone dug up a book report you wrote in college in which you used a communist scholar as a reference.
Then, 40 years later, political opponents were calling you a commie.

You have to remember that the political spectrum doesn't just exist in the US. It's a global concept, and the US is one of the more, if not the most, conservative country on earth.

Yeah, substance doesn't matter anymore, especially when the radicalized media is ignoring all of one candidate's flaws while hyper-inflating the flaws of the other candidate, one they had a big hand in choosing.

You do know Ronald Reagan was a Roosevelt Democrat and Bill Cassidy was a Dukakis/tsongas a democrat.
Most people are more liberal in their early years. Why is it when a Democrat is more liberal, his stripes never change but when a Republican was more liberal, no problem.
And as for this Alinsky meme repeated often here and in the echo chamber, politics of personal destruction knows no party. All are equal of using Alinsky tactics.
