You must. Your logic is that because the GOP did not pass a bill regarding health insurance (this is what you really mean), the democrats finally took over another area of Americans' lives as soon as they had a chance. This has been the progressive plan for a century. Look at how recklessly the dems rammed this shite through. It had nothing to do with what the GOP did or didn't do in the years prior. That notion is just plain dumb, man.

Hopefully it is, but it would seem unwise to take a politician's word for it.

No. But a politician may not be given the most honest information about it.

He tried like hell to do just that...and failed.

Besides, I'm still waiting on the bill Trump said he had during the campaign that would lower costs and cover everyone. Have you seen it?

Correct. And they should do a full repeal.

As an official job function? No.

As an effective leader? Yes.

In addition, since Trump's refusal to compromise on an important cost issue (preexisting conditions) was the primary reason the HFC was against it, then he can't just be excluded from the legislation's failure.

I agree. I look forward to you joining in the Trump bashing when/if he starts pushing another bill that isn't a full repeal. Glad to have you on the team brother

No way, man. Liberals said that this bill getting shelved was the biggest political failure in American history (or since HRC) and Trump was all but dead. Long live President Pence!

That's what they said, I swear!

and if he had compromised on that issue then all the trumpkins would have turned on him for breaking a campaign promise...right?

Well whomever called it the "biggest political failure in US American History" is being hyperbolic.

HOWEVER, Trump was the one who said it was shelved until Obamacare fails.

It was a massive failure. I can't believe y'all are so puffed up right now. But I'm sure this will end up being the tremendous solution we've been hearing about. Good lord.

They Senate can right bills and work with the house to get it passed. Then send it to the Senate.

We have learned the house can't write a healthcare bill. With just the help from Rand Paul a bill will be much better and popular with the GOP.

My point is that the GOP has never had a plan to counter the DEMs regarding healthcare. Ever. This health issue has been around for a long time, dude. It's not like this is now all of the sudden a hot topic.

Unfortunately, the DEMs came up with a plan (a bad one) and stuck with it. All the GOP has done since I can remember is just say "nope" instead of actually taking the time to figure out something worth a damn for people to cling on to and roll with. This previous campaign issue was a good example of that. People believed, and voted on, the fact that damn near every GOP based their entire campaign on repeal and replace. They didn't have a damn thing.

Now we can see, yet again, we were lied to and used as pawns to secure votes. That notion may be dumb to you, but it pisses me off.

Some solid melts going on in here.

Reminds me of the Kentucky/ UNC basketball game the other night. All that celebrating . . . .

Of course not.

But personally, I'm torn on this issue since my mother has a preexisting condition (rheumatoid arthritis). At the same time, I recognize the cost that including preexisting conditions has on everybody else, especially if people don't pay in until they have it.

Is there feasible possibility where preexisting conditions still have some sort of coverage, while separating it from the rest of the insurance policies of everybody else? Frankly, I would rather the government provided support for those individuals, and stop with the subsidies for others, especially if they diminish the costs by separating out the preexisting conditions.

Who is melting? I think every poster in this thread wants something to be done about ObamaCare. You're the one who created a bunch of ridiculous arguments in the OP, so responding to those isn't a "melt," which is way overused anyways.
