But sadly, even scum is protected by the 1st amendment and I do think it is a very dangerous path to take in banning free speech. i despise them more than anyone but even I feel like it could be a bit of censorship.

When the left loses StrongSafety on something, you know they really done fricked up.

Only a retard is afraid of words and ideas. Like the trio of chimps, holding their hands over their mouth, eyes and ears.

Now,if you have a financial stake in any of this,I can understand you wanting whatever is good for your side, but as a free human being,no ideas should be limited.

No.

So how is making the internet a utility going to prevent that? Putting internet access in the hands of a government and running like an entitlement program is the only thing worse than what we have now.

Except no one is banning free speech. Just admit that you hate the free market.

No it would be better because the government is constitutionally prohibited from infringing the right of free speech while individuals (and individual corporations) aren't.

Do you want corporations deciding what information the public is and isn't allowed to consume? Because I don't. The daily stormer was one of the most popular websites online. If it was up to "the free market" it would not habe been shut down. It's a complicated issue. It's a civil rights issue. What about the free market of ideas?

A private company kicking you off their service isn't a free speech issue.

But I assume your comment is sarcasm because nobody is dumb enough to think the government doesn't violate rights because "muh constitution".

I want that much more than I want the government telling private entities who they can and can't choose to do business with.

Actually the area of free speech is one where the law has been very good at keeping government overreach contained.

Ok here is a real world analogy. I own a restaurant. I hate black people. I want to ban blacks from eating at my restaurant. Should I be allowed to do this?

Right, because "free speech" is sacred here, and the magical US constitution will construct a force field around free speech like the one it built around the 2A and 4A amirite?

*big hint: the government will violate every amendment for whatever reason it deems necessary.

That is completely irrelevant to any argument I made but it does inform as to your confused position.

How about I, an individual, own a web hosting company and I, individually, choose not to give a platform to racists.

What is your argument, concisely?
